*With profound emotion and a deep sense of gratitude, I, Pir Mushtaq, District President Jammu & Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) Kupwara, wish to announce that my tenure as President will come to an end on 10th of November 2025*.

*As I look back upon the past two decades, my heart swells with both pride and humility. These 20 long years have been more than just a tenure — they have been a journey of faith, struggle, dedication, and sincere service to the teaching community of our beloved district Kupwara. Every moment spent in this role was driven by a single purpose: to serve my fellow teachers, to protect their rights, and to work tirelessly for the upliftment of the education sector in our region*.

*From the early days of our struggle, through countless meetings, representations, protests, and moments of victory, I have witnessed the unwavering commitment of our teachers who stood shoulder to shoulder with me in every situation. Together, we turned challenges into opportunities and made JKTJAC a powerful and respected voice across Jammu and Kashmir*.

*I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Zonal, Distt, provincial and central leadership of JKTJAC, who always extended moral support, guidance, and encouragement. I am equally grateful to the district executive members, zonal presidents, and dedicated workers of Kupwara district who have been the backbone of our strength. Without your cooperation, none of this journey would have been possible*.

*I also take this opportunity to thank the entire teaching fraternity of Kupwara — from the remotest schools of Karnah (Tangdar, Chamkote)Keran, Machil to the plains of Trehgam, Kralapora, Vilgam, Handwara,Mawer, Sogam Lolab, Khumriyal, Kupwara, Drugmullah, Rajwar and Langate. Your affection, trust, and prayers have always been my source of motivation. The respect and love I received from you all is something I will cherish for the rest of my life*.

*As I will step down on 9th of Next month, I do so with a heart full of satisfaction and a sense of fulfilment that I was able to serve my people honestly and with dignity. Leadership is never about power or position — it is about responsibility, sacrifice, and the courage to stand for what is right. And I thank Almighty Allah for giving me the strength to uphold these values throughout my tenure*.

*In the spirit of democracy, transparency, and organizational renewal, I have decided to dissolve the entire District Body of JKTJAC Kupwara to pave the way for fresh elections. This decision comes from my firm belief that every organization grows stronger when new ideas, young leadership, and renewed enthusiasm are given a chance to lead*.

*While I may no longer hold the position of any post at distt level, or State level and my association with this great organization will remain as strong as ever only as a member. I shall always stand by JKTJAC as a humble worker, supporter, and well-wisher — ready to contribute in any capacity for the welfare of our teachers and the betterment of education in our district*.

*I bow my head in gratitude before all those who stood by me through thick and thin — my colleagues, my executives, my seniors, zonal presidents, Zonal bodies, my friends, and above all, the entire teaching community of Kupwara. Your love, your prayers, and your unwavering support have been my greatest reward*.

*May JKTJAC continue to rise with unity, vision, and commitment. May the upcoming leadership take this organization to even greater heights, and may our collective voice continue to echo for justice, dignity, and the rights of teachers across Jammu and Kashmir*.

The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) District Kupwara, under the leadership of District President Pir Mushtaq, along with the entire District Executive body and all Zonal Presidents, warmly congratulates all those teachers of District Kupwara who have been elevated to the prestigious positions of Masters and In-charge Masters.

This well-deserved promotion is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and dedication towards the noble profession of teaching. The organization firmly believes that these newly promoted Masters and I/C Masters will continue to contribute with renewed zeal and commitment towards the cause of quality education and the overall academic upliftment of students across the district.

JKTJAC Kupwara also places on record its sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Education Minister Ms. Sakeena Itoo, the Worthy Secretary Education, and the Director School Education Kashmir for their tireless efforts and timely intervention in materializing these much-awaited promotions. Their people-friendly approach and pro-teacher policies have infused new energy in the teaching fraternity and strengthened faith in the education system.

Speaking on the occasion, District President JKTJAC Kupwara, Pir Mushtaq, said:

> We are highly thankful to the Education Minister, Secretary Education, and Director School Education for addressing this genuine demand of teachers. The promotion of a large number of teachers has brought great relief and satisfaction to the teaching community of Kupwara. We are confident that our newly promoted colleagues will discharge their duties with utmost dedication and work for the betterment of students and society at large.

The JKTJAC Kupwara reiterates its commitment to stand united for the welfare of teachers and the overall development of the education sector in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
