Like almost in every school,our school- The Government Boys Higher secondary school Laderwan conducted the student elections for the year 2022...
The main objective of the election was the formation of our Students Union who will manage the affairs of the Union under the guidance and supervision of the Principal and other senior officials affiliated to our School...
The elections were held on today (20/05/2022) and a sort of democratic training was offered to the interested students at School level to teach them how to become good citizens and shoulder responsibilities.
Our Principal issued a notice to file nominations for the various offices of our Student’s Union in Mid April 2022. The defective nominations were rejected on scrutiny. The date of 22/05/22 May was fixed for the election.Ballot papers were printed confidentially....
The student participants visited all the classrooms and halls to request other students to vote in their favour. The contestants were allowed to explain the purpose of their candidature. This year, Mr Talib Hussain Mir won the Student Election and therefore elected as Secretary of BHSS Laderwan
The election of the official authorities of our School Union gave the students an opportunity to develop their talents for leadership skills. In this process, a lot of hectic activities and events were carried out within the institution. Students and associated members conducted rallies and delivered speeches and raised slogans to influence the audience....
Their nervousness and fear got eliminated as they learned how to express themselves impressively. They acquired the strategies and skills required to organize things. The students took pains and understood the strengths and weaknesses aswell....
Due to heavy rush and flow of students 4 polling booths were constituted and voting started sharply at 10 o'clock in the morning and ended sharply at 12:25pm after which the nominated presiding officers were requested to report counting hall where the officials namely ..

5...Mr Maqsood Ahmad Malik Teacher did the resplendent job viz counting all these votes in presence of the nominated contestants...
The entire Programme was smoothly conducted by the Senior Lecturer Mr G.N Showkeen in association with Dr Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat Lecturer Chemistry,Mr R.A Baba (Teacher) and along with Mr Nazimudin Sofi (Lab Assitant).
The institution is highly thankful to entire teaching and non teaching staff whose resplendent efforts made it possible during this rainy day and left no stone unturned viz maintaining the discipline...
In the end it was Mr G.N Showkeen who announced the results with his marvellous poetry ,where Mr Talib Hussain Mir won the election and the celebration came across with fire crackers....
