Old panchayat building of Awoora Kupwara:
This old panchayat building was built around 1979 AD. When district kupwara was separated from district Baramulla. This was built by a contractor namely Marhoom Ab. Gani Dar s/o Ab. Samad Dar of Dar mohallah Awoora kupwara. This is the only heritage structure in this area existing till now in its original form . Today some of the contractors demanded to the concerned athorities to demolish the structure for the construction of new building .. The land is available around this old structure and it is requested to the concerned authories to preserve this heritage building and could be converted into the library or musuem ..
Thanks you all in anticipation ..
