സർക്കാർ / ഏതെങ്കിലും സർവകലാശാല അംഗീകരിക്കാത്ത പരിശീലന കോഴ്സാണ് IATA. ഒരു IATA സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ഹോൾഡർക്ക് ഗവൺമെന്റിന് / ഏതെങ്കിലും പ്രശസ്ത സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് വേണ്ടി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ യോഗ്യതയില്ല. അല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം അവർക്ക് ഒരു കരാറുകാരന്റെ കീഴിൽ ഒരു 'തൊഴിലാളി' എന്ന നിലയിൽ മാത്രമേ airport കളിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയൂ, അവർക്ക് സർക്കാർ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എയർലൈൻ കമ്പനിയല്ല കരാറുകാരനാണ് ശമ്പളം നൽകുന്നത്.

ഏവിയേഷൻ മേഖലയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ താൽപ്പര്യപ്പെടുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾ മിക്കപ്പോഴും IATA കോഴ്സുകളാണ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാറുള്ളത്. IATA ഒരു ഹ്രസ്വകാല കോഴ്സ് മാത്രമാണ്. ഗവൺമെൻ്റ് ഏജൻസികൾ ഇതിന് ഇനിയും അംഗീകാരം നൽകിയിട്ടില്ല. എയർലൈൻ കമ്പനികളിൽ നേരിട്ട് ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ ഇവർക്ക് കഴിയില്ല. മാത്രമല്ല Airline കമ്പനികളിൽ നിന്നും മറ്റൊരു ഉയർന്ന പ്രൊഫഷനലിലേക്ക് പോകണമെന്ന് കരുതിയാലും ബിരുദമോ മറ്റ് അധിക യോഗ്യതകളോ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അതിനും സാധിക്കില്ല.
