ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நான்காவது தேசிய அளவிலான சாப்ட் கிரிக்கெட் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் கும்பகோணம் கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் சிறப்பாக விளையாடி இரண்டாம் இடத்தை பெற்று சாதனை படைத்துள்ளனர்.
இந்த தேசிய அளவிலான போட்டியில் கும்பகோணம் கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா பள்ளியைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்கள் உற்சாகத்துடன் கலந்து கொண்டு தங்கள் திறமையை வெளிப்படுத்தி அணியாக சிறப்பாக விளையாடி இரண்டாம் இடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
போட்டியில் பங்கேற்ற மாணவர்கள்:
அனிருத்ரன் (ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு), தர்ஷன் (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), ஸ்ரீவட்சா (ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு), ராஜேஸ்கண்ணன் (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), ரோஹித் (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), சஞ்சய் (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), சரத் (ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு), வெற்றிவேல் (ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு), தர்சன் பிள்ளை (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), விஷ்ணுப்ரியன் (பதினொன்றாம் வகுப்பு), கோகுலன் (ஒன்பதாம் வகுப்பு) ஆகியோர் ஆவர்.
மாணவர்களின் இந்த சாதனைக்கு கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா கல்விக் குழும தலைவர் எஸ்.ஏ. கார்த்திகேயன் மற்றும் கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா பன்னாட்டு பள்ளி தாளாளர் டாக்டர் பூர்ணிமா கார்த்திகேயன் ஆகியோர் மாணவ, மாணவியர்களை வெகுவாக பாராட்டினர்.
மேலும் அவர்கள் கூறுகையில், கல்வியுடன் சேர்த்து விளையாட்டு மற்றும் பிற திறன்களையும் மாணவர்களுக்கு கற்றுத்தருவதில் கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா பள்ளி முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்து வருகிறது என்றும், விளையாட்டு என்பது உடற்பயிற்சி மட்டுமல்லாமல் மாணவர்களின் மனநிலையையும் ஒழுக்கத்தையும் மேம்படுத்துகிறது என்றும் தெரிவித்தனர்.
தற்போதைய சூழலில் மாணவர்கள் செல்போன் பயன்பாட்டை குறைத்து, பல்வேறு விளையாட்டுகளில் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்று தங்கள் திறமையை வெளிப்படுத்தி சாதனைகள் படைக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர்கள் வலியுறுத்தினர்.
இந்த தேசிய அளவிலான போட்டி ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இதில் 23 மாநிலங்களை சேர்ந்த 500க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அதில் கும்பகோணம் கொரநாட்டு கருப்பூரில் அமைந்துள்ள கார்த்தி வித்யாலயா பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்று தேசிய அளவில் இரண்டாம் இடத்தை பெற்று பள்ளிக்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கும் பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளனர்.
