DAV Mohal Joins Nationwide Pledge for a Nasha Mukt Bharat

DAV Public School Mohal actively participated in the 6th year of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) by organising the National Pledge Against Drug Abuse on 18 August 2026.

The entire teaching fraternity of the school took the pledge with a strong resolve to combat drug abuse, spread awareness and inspire the younger generation to lead healthy, responsible and meaningful lives.

The initiative reflected the school’s commitment towards building a safe, healthy and drug-free society. The school also completed the official participation process and downloaded the NMBA certificate.

The school reiterated that collective awareness and responsible action are powerful steps towards achieving the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.

🏆 DAV Mohal Shines at Monsoon Soccer State Championship
DAV Public School Mohal, Kullu proudly congratulates Shubhankar (Class VIII) and Sumesha (Class IX) for being members of the Kullu District team, which secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the Monsoon Soccer State Championship.
A total of 14 teams from across Himachal Pradesh participated in the championship.The players were honoured with medals and a memento for their outstanding performance and team spirit.
Principal Mr. R. S. Rana appreciated the remarkable achievement of the students and congratulated them on bringing pride to the school and district. He encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence in sports with dedication, discipline, and determination.

🇮🇳 United in Pride, One Nation in Spirit: DAV Mohal Celebrates 80th Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotic fervour at Gram Panchayat Mohal, where DAV Public School Mohal joined hands with the local community to mark this national festival in a spirit of unity, pride and togetherness.

The celebration was graced by Principal Shri R. S. Rana, Pradhan Shri Rajesh Thakur, Up-Pradhan Shri Rajendra Kumar, ward members and Ex-Army serviceman Shri Rohsan Thakur.

A special moment was the felicitation of Mrs. Ishra Devi, former Pradhan of Mohal Panchayat, in recognition of her remarkable 20 years of dedicated service to the community.

The programme featured an impressive March Past, Flag Hoisting and National Anthem, followed by the NCC Song, patriotic dance by NSS, patriotic song by the Eco Club, poem recitation and Scout & Guide Drill. The four school clubs proudly presented their contingents, reflecting patriotism, discipline and team spirit.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Shri R. S. Rana warmly welcomed the Panchayat members and expressed gratitude for their support. He described the celebration as a proud opportunity to celebrate together with the community and emphasised, “DAV is our school—it belongs to all of us.” He expressed his vision of making DAV Mohal the number-one school with the collective support of the Panchayat and community.

Pradhan Shri Rajesh Thakur appreciated the efforts of the school and encouraged students to remain away from drugs and harmful habits, reminding them that they are the future of the nation. A pledge for a drug-free and healthy future was also administered to the participating contingents.

The celebration reached a soulful crescendo with the teachers’ rendition of “Vande Mataram” and concluded with the Shanti Path, invoking peace and harmony for all.

The celebration beautifully strengthened the bond between DAV Mohal and the local community, reaffirming the shared commitment to nurture responsible citizens and build a strong, united and progressive India.
