JKEDI Kulgam Organises One-Day “Junior Level Idea Challenge” at Govt. Higher Secondary School Qaimoh

JKEDI Kulgam organised a one-day “Junior Level Idea Challenge” at Government Higher Secondary School Qaimoh under the guidance of the worthy Principal, Cluster Head and I/C ZEO Qaimoh, Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of employees from JKEDI ,staff and students of different schools. Students of Government Higher Secondary School Qaimoh actively participated and presented their innovative ideas with great enthusiasm and confidence.

The event provided a valuable platform for young minds to showcase their creativity, innovation and problem-solving abilities, while encouraging an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among students.

The students of MS Rah Mohalla visited Government Higher Secondary School, Qaimoh, as part of an educational exposure visit. During the visit, the students explored various facilities of the school, including the Auditorium, ICT Lab, Science Laboratories, Library Block, Herbal Garden & Tourism & Hospitality.

The Principal/ZEO Qaimoh/Cluster Head, Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, briefed the students about the various facilities, academic activities, and learning resources available in the school. The visit provided the students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure and learn about the importance of modern educational infrastructure and experiential learning.

DYSS U-19 Cricket Tournament: HSS Qaimoh defeated HSS Bugam convincingly.
HSS Bugam were bowled out for just 103 runs, with Adnan Lone and Yasir Makroo shining with the ball.
Hamid Muzaffar and Burhan Malla provided an excellent opening partnership during the chase.
Arshan Jalal and Syed Ifhaam finished the match comfortably with a couple of overs to spare.
Adnan Lone was selected in the first match, adding another proud achievement to the team.

On 07 September 2026, a team from Samagra Shiksha visited Govt. Higher Secondary School Qaimoh to review and assess the status of the institution with regard to academic activities, administrative functioning, infrastructure, and other educational facilities.

During the visit, the team inspected various aspects of the school and interacted with the concerned staff regarding the implementation of educational programmes and institutional development.

The visiting team was well informed and briefed by the worthy Principal/Cluster Head/ZEO Qaimoh, Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, regarding the academic progress, administrative initiatives, infrastructure, innovative practices, and overall functioning of the institution.

The visit provided an opportunity to review the progress of the school and further strengthen the quality of education and institutional development

Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, Principal/Cluster Head,Government Higher Secondary School Qaimoh/ ZEO Qaimoh shared this inspiring message while addressing the students. He emphasized that true education goes beyond textbooks and examinations and should equip students with knowledge, values, creativity, life skills, and the confidence to face the challenges of the future.

Dr Sajad Ahmad Mir Sb also gave a brief introduction and highlighted the importance of holistic education and active participation of students in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
