Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D H Pora Kulgam observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was organised to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to create awareness among students about the values enshrined in it.

The event began with a brief introduction on the significance of Constitution Day, highlighting Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s pivotal role as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. Staff members and students participated in reading the Preamble to the Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

A special assembly was held where students delivered speeches on constitutional values, fundamental rights and duties, and the importance of democratic principles. Teachers also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the relevance of constitutional awareness in shaping responsible and informed citizens.

The Head of Institution appreciated the efforts of the organising team and encouraged students to uphold the ideals of the Constitution in their daily lives. He reiterated that the Constitution is not just a legal document but a guiding framework for building a just and inclusive society.

The programme concluded with a pledge to promote constitutional values and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

All the students of Govt. HSS D H Pora going to appear in the Upcoming HSE-I (Class 11th) Annual Regular Examination-2025 are informed to collect their admit cards from 10/11/2025 onwards from the admission section of the Institute.
Furthermore the students who are in possession of library books belonging to this Institute are hereby advised to return all outstanding books. Admit cards will be issued only after the clearance of library dues.

"Welcome Party Organized at Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D.H. Pora Kulgam"

A warm and cheerful welcome party was organized today (07/Nov/2025) at Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D.H. Pora Kulgam to greet and introduce the newly admitted students to the school community. The event aimed to make the newcomers feel comfortable, motivated, and part of the school family.

The program commenced with the recitation of the school prayer, followed by a welcome address delivered by the worthy Principal, Mr.Khalid Amin Kohli, who extended heartfelt greetings to the new students and encouraged them to uphold the values and traditions of the institution.

The newcomers expressed their excitement and gratitude for being part of the school.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments, marking the beginning of a new academic journey filled with learning, friendship, and inspiration.

Meeting Note

Venue: Govt. Girls High School D H Pora Kulgam.
Date: 28th October 2025.
Purpose: Cluster Level Meeting.

A cluster level meeting was held today (28/oct/2025) at Govt. Girls High School D H Pora Kulgam. The meeting was attended by the following officers:

1. Principal, Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D H Pora Kulgam (Mr Khalid Amin Kohli)
2. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), D H Pora
3. HOI's of Cluster Level Schools.

During the meeting, various academic and administrative matters pertaining to the schools within the cluster were discussed. Emphasis was laid on improving the quality of education, ensuring regularity of staff and students, maintaining proper records, and strengthening co-curricular activities.

The officers also reviewed the ongoing initiatives and directed the concerned heads and teachers to work collectively for better performance and outcomes.

The officers also reviewed the ongoing Examination and preparation of result by cluster schools. As the new Acedamic session is about to start from ist November, the officers in this regard directed HOI's of Cluster schools to conduct Enrollment drives across the cluster to enhance the Student roll in the cluster schools.

The meeting concluded with mutual understanding and commitment towards achieving excellence in education within the cluster.

"WORLD OF WORK"

World of work Program was held today (09/oct/2025) at Govt. PM Shri High School Yaroo Kulgam. Honourable Minister of School Education, Higher Education, social Welfare, Health and Medical Education Ms. Sakina Itoo along with Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G N Itoo visited the Venue and interacted with Different student groups and staff members.
Principal Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D H Pora Kulgam, Mr. Khalid Amin Kohli along with Mr. Ajaz Ahmad (Vocational Trainer of Tourism) along with students also participated in the said program and showcased different Models and the students also interacted with Honarable Minster and Director School Education. The Honarable Minster applauded the students of Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D H Pora Kulgam.

"9TH CLASS DATE SHEET FOR END TERM EXAMINATION-2025"

World Tourism Day was Celebrated at Govt. Model Higher Secondary School D H Pora Kulgam on 27th of September 2025 in which the Staff and Students Participated, Principal of the Institution Mr. Khalid Amin Kohli Presided over the Program and delivered a mesmerizing speech which cast a spell on the Audience. Various Faculty Members and students also spoke on the occasion and different events were showcased by the students. Students also displayed their practical skills in the field of hospitality..
