Teachers’ Day Celebration – 11/09/2025

*Teachers’ Day* was celebrated with great zeal and zest at *Government Girls Higher Secondary School Yaripora* under the dynamic, visionary, and energetic leadership of our dignified Principal, *Mr. Mateen Ahmad Shah Sb*

The students had been preparing for more than a month, and their efforts bore fruit in an event that was both memorable and inspiring. The day commenced with a welcome song followed by the ceremonial *cake-cutting* by our revered Principal Sir. A *festive spray* added charm to the atmosphere, setting the tone for the celebration.

The formal program began with *Tilawat Mubaraka* and *Naat Maqbool*, followed by a series of outstanding performances. A thought-provoking *drama* was staged, highlighting the role of teachers in shaping society by nurturing future *doctors, engineers, and professionals.* A humorous Kashmiri song, *Sangam Chadaie*, showcased the unique attributes of teachers in a playful manner. Adding to the laughter, students performed *mimicry acts imitating the walking styles* of their teachers.

A unique feature of the day was the special segment titled *“Chit Chat”*, where slips bearing the names of teachers were drawn from a bowl, and each chosen teacher had to answer a randomly picked question within one minute. This engaging interaction led to inspirational responses from teachers, which left the audience both delighted and motivated.

*Awards* were also distributed to students for their excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. The highlight was the announcement of the *Best Student of the Year 2024-2025*, awarded to the brilliant and talented *Ms. Maheen Nisa Class 12th* Heartfelt congratulations to her!

In recognition of his *noble character, humility, brilliance, professional excellence, and friendly mentorship*, the title of *Best Teacher of the Year 2024-2025* was conferred upon none other than our esteemed Vice Principal, *Mr. Bilal Ahmad Itoo.* Alif Mubarak Sir!

*Principal Sir* was declared *Best Administrator of the Year 2024–2025* and was honoured with a memento by the staff. Heartfelt congratulations, Sir!

In his concluding remarks, Principal Sir expressed that this *Teachers’ Day stood out as unique in his 32 years of service*. He extended heartfelt gratitude to both the students and staff for their tireless efforts in making the event a grand success.

*Inauguration of Gym Park at GGHSS Yaripora*

Yaripora, September 1, 2025 A state-of-the-art Gym Park was today inaugurated at *Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Yaripora* under the dynamic leadership of the worthy Principal, Mr. Mateen Ahmad Shah.

Mr. Shah, known for his visionary approach and dedication, is leaving no stone unturned to transform this institution into a stalwart of excellence not only in District Kulgam but across the entire Jammu and Kashmir. His mission is to make the school a true haven for girls, providing them with opportunities for overall growth and empowerment.

As part of the inauguration, various modern gym machines were installed in the park. A professional trainer demonstrated different exercises to the students, who enthusiastically participated and expressed great delight at this new initiative. The students wholeheartedly praised the Principal for his efforts in fostering their holistic and intellectual development.

Mr. Shah has consistently worked to make GGHSS Yaripora a hub of multifaceted activities aimed at nurturing talent, enhancing physical fitness, and cultivating intellectual growth. Today, under the leadership of Respected Ma'am *Haseena G*, a special committee was framed by our respected Principal, *Mr. Mateen Ahmad Shah*, to launch a door-to-door campaign aimed at motivating students who remain absent from their regular classwork.

As part of this initiative,Dignified Madam *Haseena G*, *Mr. Khurshid Ahmad* and Mr. *Danish Manzoor* personally visited the homes of several parents, encouraging them to send their daughters back to school who had been absent for many days.

This important step was the outcome of a meeting held a few days ago in the Principal’s office, and today it was put into action with full spirit. The campaign reflects the school’s strong commitment to ensuring better attendance and quality education for all students.

Today, a special program was held at *GGHSS YARIPORA* under the banner of *INSPIRE GGHSS YARIPORA 2025*. The event was proudly conducted by *APJ House* under the able leadership of Respected *Mujeeb Ul Yousuf Sir*.

The highlight of the program was the presence of our highly esteemed Principal Sir, *Mr. Mateen Ahmad Shah*, as the guest of honour. Our talented *RJ* and brilliant student *Maheen Nisa* led the interactive session, posing insightful questions about the Principal Sir’s personal life, achievements, service journey, and experiences.

The program was seamlessly coordinated by Esteemed *Dr. Tawseef Ahmad Bhat* and *Er. Umair Ul Umar*, with Respected *Bilal Ahmad Itoo Sir* also contributing significantly to the concept and ex*****on of this unique podcast-style program. And our Beloved *Daanish Sb* provided technical services and made this program successful.

During the session, Principal Sir shared valuable insights and inspiring life lessons, leaving a deep impact on the audience. The entire event was filled with learning, inspiration, and warm interactions. Participants expressed their appreciation and hoped that such podcast-style programs would continue to be organised in the future.
