The Literary & Debating Club of NIT Calicut (National Institute of Technology Calicut) is one of the oldest and the most prestigious clubs of NIT-C. Ever since its birth in the REC times, the club has taken up mantle of providing the students a rostrum to flaunt their belletristic, oratory and expressive genius. Organizing competitions in extempore, elocution, debates, quizzes and so much has helped the club live up to and beyond the expectations for which it was set up.

Join us for the fifth edition of Sunset by the Main conducted by the Literary and Debating Club, featuring a performance by the Music Club, a book stall, open mic, Polaroids, fun games, and a little magical surprise.

Calling everyone who's ready to talk, rant and sip some coffee!

The Literary and Debating Club warmly invites you to Kaapikootam, a space for hot kaapi and open conversations.

Are elections truly competitive or just an illusion of choice? Should personal ideologies play a role in college politics, or does it really matter when students are barely given a say? No question is off limits.

This is not a place for scripted questions and prepared answers. Challenge every opinion and ask what you really want to know.
