An investiture ceremony an occasion that showcases the essence of leadership and responsibility wherein deserving individuals are honoured and entrusted with the authority to lead and represent their respective roles. The grandeur and solemnity of the Investiture Ceremony serves as a platform to recognise and instil a sense of pride and accountability among the elected leader.
Sri Soni Jose, Principal, MICES Public School and Vice President, Malappuram Sahodaya, graced the occasion and invested the responsibilities in the leaders. He motivated the students with his tips on leadership.

The theme for this year is "People First: stop stigma and Discrimination, strengthen Prevention," which aims to raise awareness about the importance of treating people who use drugs with respect and empathy.
Students at The Horizon School internalised the theme and organised a rally to bring about awareness on the harmful impact of drugs not only on the individual but on the entire society. The rally was flagged off by Shri Krishnadas KP, Retd. Health Inspector and Resource Person at Navakerala Mission. He also addressed the students on the menace of drug addiction

"The ballot is stronger than the bullet." The students at The Horizon School demonstrated it by successfully organising the AY 23-24 School Elections on 22nd June 2023. The week-long process started with the appointment of the School Election Commission followed by the nomination filing, finalisation of candidates through interview and written test abiding by norms set by the SEC.
Students of grades 1 to 10 voted for the 'Right' candidate through their 'Right' to Vote.
Excitement was the key for the first graders as they participated for the first time in the democratic event.

National Reading Day is celebrated as a tribute to the renowned Kerala teacher, P N Panicker, also known as the Father of the Library Movement, in recognition of his immense contributions.
The theme of National Reading Day 2023 is- “A Celebration of Literacy”.
The Horizon School organised several activities to encourage reading, the highlight being the Marathon Reading of author K R Meera's 'Qabar'. The novel was read across the day by students of grades 6 to 10.

This year, the theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is 'Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for 'One Earth, One Family, and One Future.'
Students at 'The Horizon School' eagerly participated in the observance by performing the 'Sun Salutation' following it up with various Yoga Postures.
To mark the 'World Music Day', Rhythmic Floor Exercises with music also became a part of the observance.

Vacations are awesome but getting to meet old friends is simply better. The happiness was on display on the student faces as the Kindergarteners walked into the premises after a two-month long break. The vibes transformed even the newcomers who were welcomed with the traditional 'Sapling Planting' ceremony to mark the 'Environment Day'celebrations on 5th June. Let us vow to give them the right mix of sunshine, water and essential nutrients to help them grow and develop in a conducive atmosphere.
