In order to fulfil the long cherished desire of the people of vatakara for an Englsih Medium school, impartng quality education to their children, the B.M.A Education Society ventured to establish the Vidyaprakash Public school. It would elevate the mind of anyone who had an occasion to set foot on the school campus. The School foundation stone was laid by the Hon. Minister for Education Mr. Chandrashekharan on 1-11-90 at a function presided over be Retd. Chief Justice Sri. V.P Gopalan Nambiar. The N.O.C from the Kerala Goverment was obtained on 5-5-92 and formal recognition by the CBSE, New Delhi was obtained with retrospective effect on 27-5-93
The school imparts education from LKG to senior secondary level. The school is co-educational with residential facilities for boys and gilrs computer education is provided from UKG to XII std. To fester the talents of the students, special arrangements are made for imparting instruction in Music, dance & painting.
