Our Biblical & Literary Night provided a wonderful platform for our student teams to demonstrate their knowledge of the Bible, literary and creative talents, teamwork, and familiarity with Christian mission.
Through a variety of engaging presentations and activities, the students displayed not only what they have learned in the classroom, but also their ability to communicate biblical truth creatively and meaningfully.
It was encouraging to witness their enthusiasm, preparation, confidence, and team spirit. Such programmes remind us that theological education is more than academic learning—it is about knowing God's Word, developing God-given gifts, and preparing ourselves to participate effectively in God's mission.
We are grateful to our faculty, coordinators, and students who worked together to make the evening meaningful and memorable.

Responsible Use of AI in Theological Instruction
We were privileged to host an insightful seminar on “The Responsible Use of AI in Theological Instruction” at India Baptist Theological Seminary.

The seminar explored how AI can serve theological education through accelerated research, faculty support, multilingual resources, and administrative efficiency—while emphasizing the importance of ethical discernment, academic integrity, critical thinking, and spiritual formation.

A key reminder from the session was that AI must remain a tool in the hands of the learner and teacher, never a substitute for prayer, study, wisdom, relationships, or the work of the Holy Spirit.

We are grateful to Philip Thomas, MBA, for leading us through this timely and important conversation and helping us think thoughtfully about preparing future Christian leaders for an AI-shaped world.

📚 Technology can enhance theological education, but it must never replace the heart of theological formation.
Sharing a few moments from the seminar. 🙏

Today, I B T S had the privilege of participating in the Second Seminar in the Seminar Series organized by Bishop Mani Theological Institute, Diocese of Madhya Kerala, commemorating the 125th Birth Anniversary of Rev. Paul David Devanand.
Dr. Lunchungao James Kom represented India Baptist Theological Seminary (IBTS) by presenting a paper on "Faith Formation in North Eastern India." It was a meaningful time of theological reflection, dialogue, and fellowship. I am grateful that our faculty members and students also participated in this enriching academic event.
Sincere appreciation to the organizers for their warm hospitality and for creating a valuable platform for theological engagement.

Biblical Night – Learning the Scriptures Through Experience
What a joyful and enriching evening we had at Biblical Night!
Every class members prayerfully selected a biblical character and came dressed in costumes that reflected the life and ministry of that person. It was far more than a creative event—it became a meaningful journey into the world of Scripture, helping us visualize the biblical narrative, appreciate God's redemptive work throughout history, and learn from the faith of those who walked before us.
The evening was filled with learning, fellowship, creativity, and laughter. It reminded us that theological education is not confined to the classroom; it also grows through imagination, participation, and community.
Heartfelt appreciation to all the students and faculty members who made this event memorable through their enthusiasm and excellent preparation.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses... let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." — Hebrews 12:1

Teachers of IBTS are more than lecturers—they are mentors, shepherds, and disciple-makers. They invest not only in the minds of students but also in their hearts and ministries, shaping leaders who will faithfully serve Christ around the world.
"The influence of a good teacher can never be erased, because it is written on the hearts of those they serve."
We thank God for every member of our faculty whose faithful service continues to impact generations for the Kingdom of God.
