The college owes its name to the late Mar Sebastian Vayalil, the first Bishop of Pala and the great visionary who established and nurtured several reputed institutions for University Education in this part of the state. CHIPS SALE BY ED CLUB
The Principal, Rev. Dr Baby Sebastian, inaugurated the 'banana chips sale counter' set up by the Entrepreneurship Development Club by handing over a packet to Jerrin John, the ED Club student coordinator, in the presence of the Publications Director, Dr Georgekutty Vattoth, on 18 August 2026. The counter opened in connection with the impending Onam festival, aimed at inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship among students and encouraging them to venture into new entrepreneurial endeavours by providing first-hand knowledge of procurement, display, marketing, pricing, etc., rather than making a profit. The ED club staff coordinator, Dr Binoy Vincent, supervised the counter, which drew a notable number of staff and students alike and added to the festive spirit of the joyous season.
