Rev.Fr.K.S.Jacob Kakkattu,a renowned priest of Syrian Orthodox Church residing at Meenadam village lighted the flame of St.Mary’s U.P.School in the year 1964.He had his own vision about education and believed that education should mould the student to be self sufficient and to adapt to his/her own environment. Above all, he wanted to make them good individuals and who are capable of discriminati

ng good and evil. According to Mahatma Gandhi," Education means an all round drawing out of best in the child man-body,mind and spirit of men and children". With these aims in mind Fr.K.S.Jacob and his wife Mrs.Mary Jacob started this school. Since then it has got a steady rise in its reputation and won many laurels to add to its cap. And we pray to almighty to be with us and to help us to complete our mission perfectly.
