WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ARMY SCHOOL STUDENTS

1. They should take good care of their health and be robust and strong.
2. They should always be friendly with others in the school and outside.
3. They should avoid vulgarity in their talk and behaviour.
4. They should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share. They should face
difficulties courageously.
5. They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and
sisters, and in school to teachers and companions and any unattended visitor they happen to meet in the school premises.
6. They should never cheat or be unfair at play.
7. They should stand up when a teacher or a visitor comes to talk to them.
8. They should be truthful whatever be the cost.
9. They should never be cruel. They must know that cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is
the mark of gentleman.
10. They should respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage they may observe.
11. They should never hesitate to say 'no' when asked or tempted to do a thing which they know to be wrong.
12. They should respect the liberty and the rights of others.
13. Instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evils of the world, they should try to contribute their
share to make it a better place to live in.
14. They should look upon people from all parts of the world as their brethren, irrespective of their
colour and creed.
15. They should not waste their time in idle gossip.
16. They should take pride in wearing the school uniform.

CODE OF CONDUCT- STUDENTS

1. Do's

(k) Be courteous Remember "Thank you" and "Please" are two very good words.
(I) Be thankful to God for every thing that He has given to you.
(m) Believe in yourself and have courage. Remember, God is with you always and everywhere.

2. Dont's

(a) Do not cause hurt by your words or deeds.
(b) Do not be afraid to speak the truth or to accept a mistake.
(c) Do not damage or disfigure property of your school or at home.
(d) Do not use abusive language.
(e) Do not look down upon those who are less privileged, weak or physically challenged.
(f) Do not ill-treat animals or birds.
(g) Do not mock or ridicule on someone's failure.
(h) Do not pass casteist, anti religious, or racial comments.
(i) Do not be arrogant.
(j) Do not copy or cheat.
(k) Do not steal.

Forbidden Practices

3. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices :
(a) Violence in any form.
(b) Rude and disorderly behaviour.
(c) Any form of gambling.
(d) Spitting in or near the school building execpt in any spittoon provided by the school.
(e) Casteism, communalism and practice of untouchability.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

The school believes in discipline and firmness. Slackness, disobedience and disregard of rules will not be tolerated and any work or action likely to lower the image of the school is regarded as breach of the school discipline.
The school reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students. Immorality, insubordination, or contempt for authority and breaking bounds are always sufficient reasons for immediate expulsion or rustication. Please ensure that the children attend school regularly, dressed neatly and properly. White uniform is compulsory on all school functions.
Send children to school in time at least 5 minutes before the first bell rings.
Wearing jewellery in school is not permitted at all. The school is not responsible for goods or money lost in the school.
Late corners are not allowed to enter the class and will be sent back home. Anyone who has been absent on the previous day will not be admitted to the class without a leave application duly signed by their parents/ guardians.
Any communication made by parents/guardians should be addressed to the Principal and not to the
class teacher similarly correspondence from the school to the parents would be through the Principal.
Parents are requested not to enter the classrooms to see their children or teachers during the school hours without the permission of the Principal.
Parents are required to inform the school if there is any change in their addresses or telephone numbers.
The name, admission number, class, section and house of the students should be clearly marked on their belongings such as bags., blazers, jerseys, tiffin boxes, water bottles etc.
Parents are requested to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children's progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their homework. They should check the Student Diary everyday and note the homework and other instructions in the Diary. In case of small children, the parents are advised to check the bag of their wards to see if any notice/invitation has been issued.
Care must be taken of all school property and any damage caused by a student will be made good by the student concerned. In addition to it a fine will be imposed for the offence.
The students should be recognised not only by their School Uniform but also by their good conduct and behaviour as students of Army Public School Kota.
LEAVE RULES
Every student must have at least 75% attendance to appear in any of the terminal examinations. Those who fail to fulfill this criterion in any terminal, will be debarred from that terminal examination and marked zero for the same in the marksheet. Request from the defaulters in this regard will not be entertained. 75% attendance criterion is applicable to each of the examinations separately. Benefits of having more attendance for a particular terminal examination will not be transferred to the other examination.
In case a child remains absent for three consecutive days without permission after a long vacation or in
the beginning of the session, his/her name will be struck off the School Rolls. For rest of the session,absence for six consecutive days, without prior permission, will lead to the name of the child being
struck off the Rolls. Re-admission will be purely at the discretion of the Principal and that too, with full admission fee.
Leave may be granted to the students only on extreme compassionate grounds.

History of School
Army Public School Kota started on 04 Jul 1982 as Army Primary School under Rajasthan State Education Board.

The school was renamed as Army School Kota with students strength 409 with classes up to VIII in July 1990.

The school was granted affiliation to CBSE on 10 Nov 1993.

Class X started in the session 1994 – 95 and Senior Secondary in 1995-96

Army School Kota is a Welfare School which is committed to the noble cause of providing quality education to the wards of civilians and defence personnel stationed at Kota.

Established in the year 1982 the school has grown from strength to strength and made all round progress. It conducts classes from standard I to XII.

The school is run under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society, New Delhi and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

EXAMINATIONS

For every class from Ito XII, there are four Examinations in an academic year - Two Unit Test (FA-1 to FA-4) , Half Yearly (SA-1), and Annual Examination (SA-2).These examinations are normally conducted in the month ofAugust, October, January and March respectively. For classes X (One Pre Board) and XII two Pre Board Examinations are held in the month of December and January respectively i.e. before the Board Examination. In case the performance of a student is not found satisfactory in the Pre Board Examination, the school conducts extra classes to help such students improve their academic performance

05 Oct 2012 was a red letter day in the history of Army Public School, Kota when Lt Gen Gyan Bhushan, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, GOC-in-C South Western Command visited the school and inaugurated the new school complex. He paid a visit to a classroom equipped with Technology Aided Learning and interacted with the students. He also met the teachers and appreciated the efforts made towards development of the school. APS Kota has recently instituted a number of new facilities, including Technology Aided Learning in all the classrooms and a Horse Riding facility, which is proving very popular with the children.
