The less privileged can do as well as anyone else. The cycle of poverty can be reversed by educating the 1st generation of schoolers. Education can build character that can shape thinking of future generation. Our Mission

Trustee: “OK. Please give me a receipt.”
Student: “Sir, please write your name & details of contribution in this receipt book.”
Trustee: “You write yourself. My name is …. & I wish to contribute Rs. 20.”
Student: “Sir, I do not know to write.”
Trustee: “In which Grade do you study?”
Student: “Sir, in 5th Grade.”

Need for Modern Education

The problems of Govt. school is evident: School is understaffed. Teacher’s attendance is poor. Infrastructure & teaching tools are poor. Rote learning is the only way of teaching. All students are promoted to next grade, on the basis of attendance & not performance. After spending 4% of GDP in education, many of the children in our villages remain uneducated, in the sense unable to use their learning for vocations / professions to earn a living. A much smaller spend can help the children learn languages & skills that will help them become responsible citizens, earn a good living & decide what to do with their lives in light of the knowledge they gain. That motivates us to give the children quality education similar to that of children in good urban schools. Objectives

Objectives for the year 2013-14
Plant silver oak trees along the boundary & at least one Banyan tree for children to sit under & learn
Build a Library with lot of pictorial books
Develop a playground for children
Commence physical education classes
Health inspection & consultant for all children
Take children to Excursion – to a Zoo
