The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 6 schools, with 120 students from New Era Progressive School, Korba proudly taking part in the celebrations. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘

*15 August 2026 | Independence Day Celebration*

New Era Progressive School celebrated the *80th Independence Day* with immense pride, patriotism, and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the *ceremonial flag hoisting* by our esteemed *Chairman, Shri Kishor Sahu* , in the gracious presence of *Director Shri Dilip Sahu, Principal Ms. Keerti Harrit, Academic Dean Shri Ritesh Rai, Headmaster Shri Jagjeet Singh Bhatti, and Supervisor Ms. Vandana Chopra.*

The unfurling of the Tricolour was followed by the *National Anthem* , filling the campus with a profound sense of pride and unity. The school choir further enhanced the patriotic spirit with a soulful rendition of patriotic melodies, while the students captivated everyone with a *stunning dance performance* celebrating the courage, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of our nation.
The celebration beautifully reflected the values of *freedom, unity, courage, and responsible citizenship* , reminding every young mind that the true essence of independence lies in contributing meaningfully to the nation.

From circles to squares, triangles to rectangles, our tiny tots confidently showcased different shapes through a fun and engaging Shapes Parade. ๐Ÿ”ด๐ŸŸฆ๐Ÿ”บ

๐Ÿซ New Era Progressive School, Korba was privileged to welcome Ms. Sameera Khan, an accomplished Indian mountaineer, endurance cyclist and passionate advocate for womenโ€™s empowerment. ๐ŸŒธ

๐Ÿ”๏ธ Beginning her mountaineering journey in 2015, Ms. Khan has attempted 11 Himalayan and European peaks and successfully summited 7, including the formidable Mount Ama Dablam (6,859 m) in Nepal.

๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ In 2025, she undertook an extraordinary 7,000-km solo cycling journey across 11 states of India, inspiring young peopleโ€”especially girlsโ€”to pursue education, independence, confidence and self-belief.

๐Ÿ’ช Her remarkable journey reminds us that true courage lies in moving forward despite challenges. Her message to young minds is simple yet powerful:
