plications in rural owns and generate self and wage employment opportunities through non-formal training towards competency and need based courses in various trades or multiple skills. Having successfully implemented the scheme of community Polytechnics for nearly a three decade of period (1979-2007) ,the MHRD introduced the scheme of CDTP in 2009. This Scheme was an improvement of the erstwhile Community Polytechnic Scheme. CDTP-THE MISSION
There are well laid out selection criteria for institution and well defined financial norms and guidelines for activities. An executive committee at polytechnic level runs the program and the Advisory committee monitors the scheme. Advisory committee is the main policy making body. Major Activities of CDTP
