The inauguration ceremony Vivaan for the Kindergarten academic year 2023-24 was held on June 12, 2023, in the school quadrangle. We were honored to have esteemed guests, Harish Jogi and Savitri Mujumdar, with us. Harish Jogi serves as a UNICEF program manager DC office Koppal, and Savitri Mujumdar serves as the Secretary of the Karnataka Association of Women Writers and the President of the Akhila Bharat Shavana Sahitya Parishad. The Kindergarten students warmly welcomed the guests of honor, accompanied by a traditional aarti, followed by an es**rt to the school quadrangle by the welcoming girls.
Mrs. Sarvani introduced Vivaan to the gathering, which was followed by a mesmerizing prayer dance performed by 10th-grade girls. The welcome speech was given by the UKG students, along with Mrs. Maria. The ceremonial lamp was then lit by the guests of honor and the principal council.
Mr. Harish Jogi, our chief guest, delivered an insightful address to the gathering. He emphasized the vital role parents play as role models for their children. He illustrated the impact of simple actions, such as reducing TV time and encouraging children to focus on their studies, on the developing minds of young ones. He also shared a practical exercise that parents could adopt to fill themselves with positive energy, which would ultimately radiate to their children and those around them.
Following this, Mrs. Savitri Mujumdar addressed the audience. She commended our principal, Fr. Jabamalai, for his transformative initiatives and the excellent facilities provided to the students. Mrs. Mujumdar encouraged parents not to pressure their children but instead to nurture them into model students through careful guidance and unwavering support. She stressed the importance of showering children with love and affection, understanding their behaviors, and molding them accordingly. Additionally, she urged working parents to allocate sufficient time to spend with their children, while all parents were encouraged to be sacrificial role models for their kids.
The UKG students then eloquently described our esteemed institution, SFS ICSE Koppal, through heartfelt speeches. Rev. Fr. Dr. Jabamalai, our principal, took the stage to address the gathering. He urged parents to foster qualities of good character in their children, as he believed this to be the foundation for academic excellence. As an expression of his message, he led the audience in singing the inspiring song "Shalege hoguvenu nanna guri muttuva tanaka," which instills in students the habit of attending school, fostering social and intellectual growth, and ultimately achieving their goals in life. As a token of gratitude, the guests of honor were presented with shawls and mementos.
The UKG students concluded the ceremony with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. To further support parents in their important role, a small seminar was conducted by the guests of honor, providing valuable insights and guidance on effectively guiding and nurturing young children.

School Cabinet oath-taking ceremony, "Sankalp 2023-24, Crowning the future leaders”
The School Cabinet oath-taking ceremony, "Sankalp 2023-24, Crowning the future leaders” of SFS ICSE School Koppal, was held on 14-06-2023 in the school quadrangle. We were honored to have Mr. Santosh Hallur, the Police Inspector of Town Police Station Koppal, as our chief guest. The chief guest, accompanied by our principal, Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, and our administrator, Rev. Fr. Matthew, was warmly welcomed by the girls at the entrance. They were then led to the quadrangle by the school band, creating a surreal scene.

The ceremony, masterfully conducted by Ganiya Varma as the Master of Ceremony, began with a melodious prayer song. Then, Advika took the stage and delivered a warm welcome speech, introducing our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Santosh, who was greeted with a flower bouquet presented by Mrs. Rani. Rev. Fr. Jabamalai and Rev. Fr. Matthew were also welcomed with flower bouquets. The guests of honor, along with all the House captains and vice-captains, lit the ceremonial lamp. Subsequently, the chief guest hoisted the school flag, accompanied by the school anthem, filling the air with a sense of pride for our institution.

Next, the Chief Guest bestowed the sash, badge, and flag upon the newly elected school cabinet. The cabinet members marched onto the stage, gracefully kneeling with one leg down as they received their sash, badge, and flag. Symbolically, the outgoing cabinet members passed their responsibilities to the new members by handing over the respective flags. Following this, the new school cabinet took their oath, led by Fr. Jabamalai, with each member repeating the oath after him.

A beautiful march past was then performed by each house, led by their respective house captain and vice-captains. The school head boy and the head girl headed the march past, creating an impressive spectacle.

Subsequently, the chief guest addressed the gathering, expressing his admiration for the event's organization and the flawless ex*****on of the march past. He emphasized the significance of discipline in life, citing the impeccable display of discipline and accuracy by the young participants. He believed that discipline is the cornerstone of future leadership and emphasized “ಪಾಠ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟ” the importance of balancing academic pursuits with outdoor activities for holistic development. Furthermore, he spoke about traffic rules and safety, inviting the schoolchildren to visit the police station and learn about the workings of the police and various aspects related to law and order.

Our Principal then presented the chief guest with a shawl and memento as tokens of appreciation. This was followed by a captivating dance performance by the schoolchildren, leaving everyone impressed. Rev. Fr. Jabamalai addressed the gathering, commending the students for their hard work in making the program a resounding success. He praised their ability to absorb and demonstrate what was taught to them in such a short time. Additionally, he spoke about the virtues of a good leader, emphasizing qualities such as vision & aim, self-sacrifice, hard work, commitment, being a good listener, and effective communicator. He urged the children to embrace these traits in order to become exceptional leaders.

The former school parliament members were felicitated by the guests of honor, who presented them with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding service. Following this, Suketh delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the individuals who contributed to the success of the event.

Finally, the national anthem was sung, uniting everyone in a patriotic spirit.

World Environment Day
On Saturday, June 3, 2023, both SFS ICSE School and SFS High School came together to celebrate World Environment Day at the SFS campus in Koppal. The event was graced by two esteemed guests of honor, Prakash Pawadigoudar (Forest Range Officer of Koppal) and Padma Jain (President of Inner Wheel Club Koppal). They were joined on stage by Fr. Jabamalai, Principal of SFS ICSE School, Fr. Jojo, Principal of SFS High School, and Fr. Matthew, Administrator of SFS Schools Koppal.

The event commenced with a melodious prayer song, followed by Trupti Mam introducing the distinguished guests and welcoming all five dignitaries with small flower plants. The ceremonial lamp was then lit by the guests of honor. The entire gathering united in singing the school anthem, filling the air with a sense of pride and unity.

Mr. Prakash Pawadigoudar and Mrs. Padma Jain the esteemed guests took the opportunity to convey their message of the significance of tree planting and its profound benefits for both current and future generations. They emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and urged everyone to play their part.

Fr. Jabamalai in his address to the gathering shed light on the true essence of World Environment Day. He imparted the wisdom that it extends beyond tree planting and encompasses various acts of cleanliness, water conservation, and overall environmental protection. Speaking in a language easily understood by the students he emphasized that our immediate environment including our school and home needs to be kept clean and safeguarded. To express gratitude to the guests of honor, they were presented with shawls and fruit baskets. Mamatha mam then delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks.

Following the formal ceremony, a spirited rally took place on the Koppal-Hospet road, with students and staff joining forces. Divided into groups based on their respective houses, the participants carried placards with meaningful messages related to World Environment Day. The groups chanted slogans, creating an infectious energy that spread throughout the surroundings. The group members were led by the cyclists. The members of the rally distributed plants and passionately shared the message of environmental conservation with the people they encountered.

Upon the rally's conclusion, all students gathered in the school quadrangle. A street act competition was held, with each house group showcasing their talent on the theme of cleanliness. Additionally, a vegetable carving competition took place. Fr. Jabamalai expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the collective efforts of everyone involved in making the event a grand success.
The event ended with a sense of national pride as all present joined together in singing the national anthem, reaffirming their commitment to the environment and their nation.

The SFS ICSE School Koppal Parliamentary election, "Student Democracy Festival," was conducted on June 2nd, 2023. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the school assembly gathered to witness the democratic process in action.

had the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their ideas to the student body. They expressed their visions and aspirations for the school, promising to serve as capable leaders and advocates for their fellow students.

The Election Commissioner Fr. Jabamalai, along with the dedicated committee worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the event. The Presiding Officer Mr. Sangameshwar efficiently managed the proceedings, while the Assistant Presiding Officer Mr. Arun provided valuable support throughout.

The Polling Officers Mr. Hussaini, Mr. Shine, Mrs. Jhansi, and Mr. Jimmy, meticulously facilitated the voting process ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. The school quadrangle was transformed into a vibrant space. The students eagerly cast their votes exercising their right to choose their representatives.

The event itself was a testament to the democratic values instilled in the students, promoting leadership, responsibility, and awareness. It fostered a sense of unity and encouraged students to actively participate in shaping their school's future.

Now with the elections concluded the anticipation builds as the student body eagerly awaits the announcement of the results. On Monday, June 5th, 2023, the school will gather once again to celebrate the winners.

Inauguration Function "Vihaan" Marks the Beginning of the Academic Year 2023-24 at SFS ICSE School, Koppal.

On May 29, 2023, SFS ICSE School in Koppal joyfully inaugurated the new academic year 2023-24 with a grand function named "Vihaan" under the caption "Hail the year and embrace success." The event was graced by esteemed guests and filled with moments of inspiration, performances, and warm welcomes.

The guests of honor for the occasion were Fr. Erudayaraj, the Manager of SFS School in Mundaragi; Fr. David Buddini, the Vice Principal & Administrator of SFS School in Kukunoor, and Fr. Jojo, the Principal of SFS High School in Koppal. Joining them on stage was Fr. Jabamalai, the newly appointed Principal of our SFS ICSE School in Koppal.

The function commenced with a vibrant welcome as the guests of honor were accompanied by the school band to the school quadrangle. The General Coordinator, Remendi Mam, introduced the newly appointed principal, Fr. Jabamalai, who was welcomed with a shawl and a flower bouquet, symbolizing honor and respect.

To set an auspicious tone, a prayer dance was performed by the talented students of class 10. The guests were then invited to the stage individually and warmly welcomed. Following this, the ceremonial lamp was lit by the guests of honor and the school coordinators, signifying the illumination of knowledge and wisdom.

The school anthem resounded through the venue, fostering a sense of pride and unity among the attendees. The newly appointed teachers introduced themselves, and they, too, were greeted by Fr. Jabamalai with flowers, extending a warm gesture of acceptance and encouragement.

A significant moment in the program was the blessing of the school premises with holy water, performed by the fathers, infusing blessings and divine grace into the learning environment.

Addressing the gathering, Fr. Erudayaraj, the chief guest, delivered an inspiring speech. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, hard work, and discipline, urging the students to embrace challenges and strive to become exemplary leaders of the future, ultimately achieving their goals.

The performance by the class 10 students, a Fusion dance, enthralled the audience, comprising students, teachers, and parents, who showed appreciation through applause and encouragement.

Next, it was time for the principal, Fr. Jabamalai, to address the students. He expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the function, attributing its success to their collective efforts.

Additionally, he shared his vision and plans for the upcoming academic year, fuelling anticipation and enthusiasm among the attendees.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of the National Anthem, further instilling a sense of patriotism and unity. The inaugural function "Vihaan" served as a memorable start to the academic year, setting the stage for a promising journey of knowledge, growth, and accomplishments.
