Guiding young minds: Life Skills session on Adolescent Health & Emotional Development

An adolescent awareness session was conducted for students of Grades V to VII to help them understand the physical, emotional, and behavioural changes that occur during the transition from childhood to adolescence.

The Boys’ Session, led by Dr. Sandeep, Psychiatrist & Youth Coach, focused on puberty and physical development, emotional well-being, healthy habits and personal hygiene, relationships and boundaries, and the importance of family support and communication.

The Girls’ Session conducted by Dr. Anju Madhavan, Gynaecologist, N.S. Hospital, dwelt on puberty, the menstrual cycle, hygiene practices, nutrition and lifestyle habits, emotional changes, and building healthy relationships.

Both sessions were interactive and engaging, enabling students to recognize growth and development as a natural part of adolescence while encouraging awareness, responsibility, and healthy practices for life.

A proud moment: Hats off to our young scientists!

Our Grade XA students have proudly secured a Gold Prize at the Cambridge Science Competition for their remarkable research on the production of bioplastics from Tubers in Kerala, such as Potato, Sweet potato, Yam, Colocasia and Cassava and analysis of their applications. We wholeheartedly appreciate their curiosity to learn, commitment to excellence, and truly innovative spirit. Their work reminds us that a brighter, smarter, and a more sustainable future begins with young minds that dare to think differently.

The Science Competition by Cambridge International offers an exciting platform for IGCSE and O Level learners to explore science through hands-on investigation. Working collaboratively, students design and implement real-world projects with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and teamwork. The competition helps in building essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving and communication, while offering recognition at school, regional, and global levels.
