Students-led study titled “A Biochemical Systems Theory Model for Autoimmune Mechanisms in Alzheimer’s Disease: Simulating Aβ-induced and ” aimed to computationally model and pathways in Alzheimer’s using the AD2 framework. The work applied a Biochemical Systems Theory (BST) approach to capture how Aβ-mediated signaling may initiate self-sustaining neuroinflammatory cycles contributing to neurodegeneration.

The research was carried out as part of the 2025 program at the Amrita School of Biotechnology by students Maitrayee Ghosh, Varshini Ravikumar and Harish Kalaiselvi under the guidance of Dr. Asha Vijayan & Ms. Sowmiyakrishna G of Amrita Mind Brain Center & presented at the 7th International Conference on Computer & Communication Technologies (IC3T 2025), hosted by the Department of CSE (Data Science), School of Computing, Mohan Babu University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on 10 December 2025.
