Vishwa Sewa Dinam | Cleanup Drive 🌱

As part of Vishwa Sewa Dinam, Amma's 73rd birthday celebrations, Amrita Mind Brain Center staff joined hands for a cleanup drive across the campus and neighbouring public spaces. The initiative by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham focused on waste collection, segregation and promoting awareness about a cleaner environment.

The drive was inaugurated by C.R. Mahesh, Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Karunagappally.

We were honored to host Prof. Fausto Giunchiglia, Università di Trento, Italy, at IGNITE.X 2026, organized by the Office of the Pro‑Vice Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

His talk, “ : A Multi‑Country for Everyday Life Behavior ”, introduced one of the world’s largest publicly available smartphone sensing datasets spanning 782 participants across 8 countries.

The session, hosted by Amrita Assistant Professor Dr. Nutakki Chaitanya Kumar and co‑organized by the Amrita Mind Brain Center, highlighted how DiversityOne can transform research in:
Cross‑country model generalization, ‑driven behavior modeling, & digital health

Amrita Mind Brain Center at the the advancing brain health tools meeting in Bordeaux, France.

Amrita Mind Brain Center's Dr. Shyam Diwakar was invited and participated at the meeting on brain health tools organized by Prof. Viktor Jirsa, Director, Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes (INS) and the Chief Science Officer of the European digital neuroscience infrastructure EBRAINS, along with colleagues from Italy, France, UK, Germany, Australia, Cuba, China and others.

Amrita Mind Brain Center has been exploring digital brain twins and other imaging solutions for the developing and developed world taking into account, equity, demographics and international infrastructure.

Our Mind Brain Center's director, Prof. Shyam Diwakar has been associated with EBRAINS RI through EU's Human Brain Project and the Multi-Scale Brain Function India-Italy Network of Excellence (funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, Italy).

The travel was supported by a travel grant from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and facilitated by the Amrita Center for International Programs - ACIP.

Prof. Diwakar also visited University of Milan, Italy and met with colleagues from various Universities during this trip in June 2026.
