Hello Everyone,

Finally the wait is over for the Purulia drive, it was an ecstatic experience. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the locals of Purulia. It was such a lovely welcome by our host Mr. Shubomoy who arranged all the nitty gritty things on the field. Everything was minutely monitored by our Team which resulted in a massive success of 70 blankets distribution in Rudra, Purulia.

Thanks to our team who made it all possible on field and behind the scenes. This is the first time we decided to go to such remote area and far from Kolkata for any kind of distribution. By god's grace all went and returned safely. We plan to revisit Purulia, for some it might be a tourist spot but for us it was eye opening experience about how people struggle in rural economy. We went ahead and started gathering data of all the netizens about their families to chalk out the sweater distribution plan for children. The smile on those innocent eyes who were waiting for us for days but in their eyes it reflected as an eternity were served with thick double bed blankets for tough winter season. Many people were lacking financial stand to acquire quality blankets so they used multiple short blankets to cover them, hopefully that has been taken care of now. Some are still waiting for our next drive to Purulia, we hope to serve them as well.

আমরা শীতকালে পুরুলিয়ার প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে আমাদের প্রোগ্রাম পরিকল্পনা করেছি যাতে অভাবী কিছু পরিবারকে শীতকালীন সরবরাহ যেমন মোটা কম্বল এবং শিশুদের জন্য সোয়েটার দিতে পারি। এই সময়ে পুরুলিয়া অঞ্চলে প্রচন্ড ঠান্ডা পরে এবং এই সব পরিবারের আর্থিক অবস্থা স্বচ্ছল না। তাই আমরা আগের মতই আপনদের পূর্ণ আন্তরিক সমর্থনের জন্য অনুরোধ করব!

**Muskaan's Winter Drive to help the poor of Purulia**

Due to the post pandemic hit situation we were really occupied with rebuilding ourselves financially and mentally. Like we helped out families after the ruthless cyclone Aamphan and Yash, we still plan to do it again. We have not abandoned the cause rather we plan to come back stronger than before and reunite for the cause once again.

We plan to reach to the remote places of Purulia this time around winter to help the distressed families with winter supplies such as thick blankets and sweaters for children where winters are as harsh as 2-3⁰C. So we would request your full hearted support as before and help us for this cause.

Thank you to all who believed in our work and helped us in our cause. Muskaan was there again in Pakhirala and Majherpara villages to provide ration for the continuation of the Community Kitchen. Along with these two areas we also provided dry packed food items and ration items to the women in Shilpara, Mudigram, adjacent to area of Pakhirala. All these villages are in the Sagardwip region.

Our volunteers are relentlessly working in hand with the Hawkers Federation Committee. Together we are glad to bring such changes and provide these helpless with food and meals.

We are glad to convey to you all that we have been successful in extending the help provided by you to not only the people living in PAKHIRALA, but also an adjacent area MAJHERPARA where another COMMUNITY KITCHEN has been established....

We already surveryed the area last Sunday and found that still there are helpless people looking for food. Muskaan still needs your help to continue such community kitchen in the area. MUSKAAN is thus calling in for NEW FUNDS which would be extended to such new areas covering more people.....

Muskaan's Relief Drive

Finally the day comes to an end. Along with Hawkers Federation Committee we distributd around 90 sarees and 100 food packets for children. We provided chicken meal for 250 people. We provided ration for atleast 10 days for Hawkers Committee to further support the community kitchen for the residents of Pakhirala, Kochuberia.

Thanks to your generous support and we hope to raise more fund to support them in the coming Sunday.

We call in for more funds as there are still families left who haven't received enough ration to sustain. They are literally eating one time meals and dry foods some days....

Good Evening all, our Relief drive to Sundarbans will be happening this Sunday, 20/06/2021. We will be going to Kochuberia Sagardwip. Here we will provide raw materials for the Community Kitchen arranged by the Hawkers Committee. Our relief would include rice, pulses, eggs, soyabean, cooking oil mainly. We will serve about 250 heads.

I generously thank you all for the contributions you have made towards the cause. With this help we would be able to provide food for the people for about 7 days.

Thank you all for the help extended towards Muskaan. It means an honour to serve the people who are facing such disruptions due to Yaas.

While the raging pandemic has already crippled our economy, the devastating cyclone Yaas strikes the coastal regions of Bengal destroying the lives and livelihood of the people of Sundarbans. These poor people were already struggling to stay alive, and now that struggle has become harder. The cyclone Yaas has shattered their homes, flooded villages, and took away lives of many. Muskaan has taken an initiative with Hawkers Committee who will be doing the community kitchen and we will be providing with raw materials for the same. We are collecting funds and groceries and other essential items to conduct a relief drive for the affected families of Ramganga Plot G, Sundarban area. We will be visiting the places ourselves.

We will be extremely happy to have your support. Your generous donations can bring smiles on the faces again.
