Water became more than just play - it turned into a medium for exploring, feeling, and expressing.

In every squeeze, spill, and splash they followed their own questions and learning quietly found its way.

And in that space, every splash became a story of its own.

As part of our secondary colours project, the children participated in their first ever “Show and Tell” session, focused on the colour ‘Orange’. Each child brought an orange object from home, spoke about it in front of the large group and shared it with their friends. Activities like Show and Tell help children build confidence, improve communication and listening skills, learn turn taking, and connect their home experiences with classroom learning in a simple and engaging way.

“Every child is an artist.”
— Pablo Picasso

In early childhood, artistic experiences become spaces where children observe closely, experiment freely, and connect with the world through their senses.

Colors, textures, light, marks, and materials invite children into experiences filled with curiosity, imagination, and possibility.

Art is valued not for creating outcomes, but for the thinking, emotions, and discoveries that emerge through the experience itself.

From color mixing to fizzing reactions, our Color Lab became a space full of curiosity, exploration, and discovery.
Through vinegar, baking soda, and primary colors, the children explored how colors change, observed reactions closely, asked questions, touched, smelled, and experimented like scientists.

Give a child blocks, magna tiles, and a few vehicles
and watch what unfolds.

There are no instructions here. No “right way” to build.
Just children making choices, testing ideas, and changing them along the way.

Some build tall.
Some build across.
Some focus on movement, creating paths for cars and trains.

In this process, children are not just playing with materials.

They are learning how things work.
They explore balance, space, and connection.
They repeat actions, notice outcomes, and adjust what they do.
They stay with a task, even when it doesn’t go as planned.

Construction play brings together many forms of learning that is building, exploring, imagining, and problem-solving all in one experience.

At Arth, we value these open-ended moments where children are free to think, try, and build in their own way.

Not all learning looks neat and that’s the beauty of it.
The swipe of paint across a surface, the soft crumble of moonsand between tiny fingers. These simple experiences are powerful moments of sensory exploration for young children.
At this age, children learn best through touch, movement, and open-ended play. Painting and moonsand invite them to explore freely without instructions, without expectations. Just curiosity leading the way.
As they press, spread, scoop, and mix, they are developing fine motor skills, building concentration, and discovering textures, colors, and cause-effect relationships.
Most importantly, they are learning to explore without fear because in these moments, there is no right or wrong.
At Arth, we hold space for this kind of meaningful, hands-on learning where children are free to get messy, be curious, and truly experience the world around them.

" Nothing without joy." - Loris Malaguzzi
This idea guides our opening circle to be warm, welcoming space which is about sharing, expressing and gently building the day together.

Before words, children are already communicating.

A look, a sound, a small gesture, these are not random. They are meaningful “serves,” inviting a response.

When we pause, notice, and respond, we create a simple back and forth interaction. This is known as serve and return, a concept highlighted by the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University.

These small moments build connection, support early communication, and help children feel seen and heard.

This Earth Day, our children stepped into the role of Earth’s Helpers by cleaning rivers and soil through hands-on exploration. From removing waste in the water to finding hidden litter in the mud, they discovered how caring for nature can begin with simple actions every day.

Welcome to the Summer Lab at Arth! 🔗 in bio!

The lab will be open from May 25th to May 29th, with a short break for Eid—so children will join us for four days of camp.

Over these four days, children will step into a different lab each day, each one offering a distinct way of exploring and engaging with the world around them:

• Movement Lab – exploring how our bodies and materials move
• Construction Lab – building and creating with a range of materials
• Expression Lab – engaging with art, music, and open-ended expression
• Shadow Lab – experimenting with light, shadow, and transformation

Across the week, the days will be filled with hands-on explorations—including water play, sensory experiences, outdoor time, and opportunities to work with a wide range of materials.
