A blood donation camp was held on 21.11.2023 at Sushila Birla Girls’ School in collaboration with Project Life Force. The primary objectives of the event were to create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and contribute to the noble cause of saving lives by collecting blood from willing donors.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Miraj D. Shah, a prominent tax litigation expert. Ms. S. Bose and Mrs. V. Panja also graced the inaugural programme. The event was meticulously organised by a dedicated team of teachers, students and representatives from PLF. The AVR of the school was transformed into a well-equipped and comfortable donation center with separate areas for registration, medical check-ups and the donation process.

Before donating blood, each participant underwent a thorough medical screening process conducted by qualified medical professionals. This step ensured the safety of both the donors and the recipients and helped identify eligible candidates for donation.

The response from students, teachers and parents was overwhelming. Many individuals volunteered to donate blood, reflecting a strong sense of community and social responsibility within the school. Prior to the event, awareness campaigns were conducted to educate the school community about the significance of blood donation.
