Expert Talk on “Generative AI Prompt Engineering: A Technical and Practical Perspective”

An expert talk on “Generative AI Prompt Engineering: A Technical and Practical Perspective” was organized by the Department of Computer Applications of Future Institute of Engineering and Management on 16th February 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Sabyasachi Saha, CEO of Techno Expo, Kolkata.

The program started at 11:00 AM and continued till 3:00 PM, making it a four-hour interactive expert session. The event was attended by students of the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program.

During the session, Dr. Saha discussed the fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence and prompt engineering, explaining how carefully designed prompts can significantly improve the output of AI systems. He highlighted the technical aspects of prompt design, including prompt structure, role prompting, context setting, and iterative refinement.

The speaker also demonstrated practical examples of using generative AI tools for various tasks such as content generation, coding assistance, data analysis, and academic work. He explained how students and professionals can effectively use AI tools in real-world applications while maintaining ethical and responsible use of technology.

The talk was highly interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions and engaging in discussions. Dr. Saha shared valuable industry insights and emphasized the growing importance of AI skills and prompt engineering in modern technology-driven careers.

Overall, the session was informative and beneficial for the BCA students. It helped them understand both the technical concepts and practical applications of generative AI, thereby enhancing their knowledge and preparing them for future developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

CA Premier League 2026, An Intra-Departmental Cricket Tournament.

Organized by the Department of Computer Applications at Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Sonarpur, brought together students for a day filled with sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

On January 30, 2026, the department transformed enthusiasm into action as students traded their keyboards for bats and stepped onto the field to showcase their talent and passion for cricket. The occasion was further honored by the gracious presence of Dr.Aloke Kumar Ghosh, Executive Director; Dr.Anirban Chakraborty, Principal; Dr.Sajal Kumar Giri, Registrar; and Head of the Department Dr.Ashoktaru Pal .

Through this spirited initiative, students strengthened bonds beyond classrooms and embraced the true essence of sportsmanship.

SAMARPAN’26 – A Social Welfare Initiative

SAMARPAN’26, a heartfelt social welfare initiative of the Department of Computer Applications, Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Sonarpur, brought together students, teachers, and well-wishers in the spirit of service and compassion.

From 10th to 12th January 2026, we extended our support to the underprivileged community at Burijhor, Purulia, striving to make a meaningful difference in their lives. This initiative was more than an act of charity—it was a celebration of hope, humanity, and togetherness.

Through our collective efforts, we provided essential necessities such as food and winter clothing, while also fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility among all participants. SAMARPAN’26 inspired us to look beyond ourselves and contribute to a greater cause.
