The Zuriel Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 496 EC

Haji Md. Yakub (Gora) who faithfully served the Freemasons of Calcutta for 50 years passed away in the early hours of 28th July, 2019.

Not only did he cater to our Festive Boards, Installation Banquets, Regional Meetings, but he also grew to deeply respect Freemasonry, perhaps, because of the demeanour and kindly nature of a few Freemasons he interacted over half a century, and whom he always held in high esteem. We attach a Special Feature about him from our Regional Magazine ‘Light From The East’ which was carried in the March, 2019 issue.

May his immortal soul rest in eternal peace. We will miss you Gora.
