"Orientation workshop for top 253 participants of Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning" on 25th and 26th March,2017 by IIT-Bombay for Associate Faculty
After being two top participants in Four Week AICTE approved FDP by IIT Bombay on “Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning” offered by IIT Bombay, a learning initiative of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, SAJAL SASMAL and MRITYUNJOY KUMAR RAY was invited as associate faculties in "Orientation workshop for top 253 participants of Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning" on 25th and 26th March, 2017 by IIT-Bombay. In “Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning” –FDP IIT Bombay introduced about advanced teaching learning methodology like -Design of Learning Objectives, Active Learning-Think-Pair-Share (TPS activity), Peer Instruction (PI), Technology Integration-Visualization in Classroom, Digital Blooms Taxonomy, Lesson Planning, Designing a Flipped Classroom, Online Content Creation, Improving Learner Collaboration, Using Moodle for Interaction with Students, Web Presence for Faculty, OER Creation. In Orientation workshop IIT-Bombay invited to be an associate faculty to help them in the conduct of such FDPs in future. Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE interacted with the participants, Head of the institutions of the top participants and told the importance of such FDPs. He also told AICTE is going notify all AICTE approved institutes and universities that such FDP will be mandatory for all 3.5 lakh faculties all over the country. At least a faculty member has to complete such two FDP in every five years. In this Orientation workshop Prof. D. B. Phatak project coordinator (PI T10KT project) explain the present scenario of engineering teaching and told how we can make teaching more technology advance, interactive and use of ICT. There was a brief discussion on peer assessment by Mr. Jayakrishnan followed by Lab activities. Dr. Sajjan Dixit and Dr. Sushant Raktade show the demonstration on A-VIEW, how to conduct an online course. Finally the workshop concludes with a discussion on forming collaborative teams.
