Dear BITANS,

– This was always an interesting & exciting topic for all Bitians. The moment we hear this word,
suddenly a glimpse of college memories started rolling in our head. At the same time we start planning to attain the
same. Some active Alumni have shown their interest and came forward to continue this historical event. Other than
Reunion, we have arranged many occasion like Cricket & Football Tournament, BIT Picnic, actively participated in
Blood Donation camp, arranged many training & grooming session for Current students and even helped
financially to many students for their medical problems, paying tuition fees, buying book & instruments and so on.
There is a long list. In the journey many issues has come and we tried our level best to solve the same.
However the activeness, aggression, responsibility is shown by few Alumni members only and the current situation
has changed a lot. Following issues has come up as a major restriction to our way –
 Earlier the arrangements of Reunion was done by Present Students, however since 2017 it has completely
arranged by BIT Alumni
 College Authority is completely against this programme to be held in college premises and also not ready
to support to us in any circumstance. They have tried in all aspect to hold us outside the collage. They don’t
want the interaction between present & passout and also restrict our open entry in collage.
 A major portion of Present Students don’t want to interact with Passout students and also don’t want this
programme to happen or not supporting.
 A portion of Passout also don’t want to come due to mainly
(1) Personal reason
(2) Not available in Kolkata
(3) Not interested as the Reunion Programme is held outside collage
(4) Not interested as the decorum is not suitable
In view of the above we want to ask all BITIANS following –
 Do we really want the Reunion programme to happen
 Do we want to collaborate among ourselves
 Do we want to maintain a healthy relation between Present & Alumni students
 Why Collage Authority is so reluctant and why they are not allowing us in collage
 Don’t we have any rights on collage
 Do this programme is important only for few of us
 Does our love towards collage has no value
In last 2 years we have tried to maintain a good relation between Bitians and also tried to collaborate. We also
noted the fact that “Arranging Reunion in Collage will not be possible” unless all 3 stake holder agreed. We have
lost support from Collage Authority and Present Students and not have any expectation further.
However we seek views from Passout Students whether they are interested for the Reunion to be held or not, if not
in collage then even outside. How you want the same to be held on. We seek your positive views

We are going to publish our College Wall Magazine 2016.. There are 3 types of articles will be posted on the magazine. The articles are...

1. Self writing Poems
2. Paintings ( in A4 sheet)
3. Photography

So, Its Requested to all students to submit the above articles. Some best Poems , Paintings and Photographies will be selected & Those will be posted on Wall Magazine. The best articles will be awarded on next BIT Social Fest on 29th January, 2016....
