Deeksha's first floor is completed at last. A big thank you to the members of the Deeksha community!

জঙ্গল সাফাই, বসার বেঞ্চ সরানো, দোতালায় টাইলস বসানো, রং এর কাজ চলছে একসাথে। আরো একদুদিন চলবে। জানুয়ারি টে ground ফ্লোরের কিছু কাজ হবে। সাথে গেস্ট হাউসের আর বাইরের পার্ক এর।

A special symposium was organised on 14th November, on the occasion of Children's Day, by Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, a pioneer institution in the field of science and technology. The event aimed to reflect on the contemporary issues surrounding childhood, education, and pedagogy.
Deeksha Education Trust was invited as a distinguished guest organisation for the programme.
The keynote address on “World of Children in Contemporary Times” was delivered by Mr. Debasish Sarkar of Deeksha Education Trust.
During his talk, Mr. Sarkar highlighted:
The changing world of children in the 21st century
The impact of technology and social media on childhood
The widening difference in access to education
The importance of teacher training in shaping young minds

Educational concepts inspired by Paulo Freire, emphasising child-centric learning and liberation through education
A slide show presentation accompanied the lecture, visually depicting the challenges and opportunities for children in the modern world as well as comparative perspectives on traditional and contemporary education models.
The session encouraged meaningful reflection among students, scholars, and faculty members present. The symposium concluded with an interactive discussion on how institutions, teachers, and society can collectively build a nurturing and equitable world for children.

Deeksha Annual Day was celebrated on 19th January 2025.

Deeksha vidyalaya celebrated world environment day on 5th June. It was extremely hot. Proud to say that these children know why.

On 4th February Deeksha Celebrated Milan Mela, with songs and dance and lots of fun!

A Seminar on curriculum and the joy of teaching learning experience was held at Deeksha Vidyalaya on 20th January 2024. It was attended by ex- chairman of school curriculum committee, Sri Avik Majumdar, HM of Nayabad High School Sri Santanu Mondol, HM of Atul Krishna Girls High School:Smt Monami Nag, Ex- HM and a very close associate of Deeksha Education Trust , Dr Alokananda Ghose. The programme was presided over by HM of Kheyadah Highschool, Sri Altup Sekh. Others who participated in the seminar are Dr Mihir Chakraborty, ( JU) Kamalika Bhattacharya ( Patha Bhaban) and teachers from various schools.
