ENTREPRNEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAMME WITH FOCUS ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN MSME SECTOR 👩‍🎓🚀

On 17th January 2025, Amity_Kolkata hosted an impactful Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme focused on Women Empowerment in the MSME Sector, in collaboration with MSME DFO, National SC & ST Hub, Kolkata, and Amity University Kolkata.

The event, inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony, featured distinguished guests such as Mr. Gautam Poddar (Assistant Director, MSME), Mrs. Sejuti Dutta (Assistant Director, MSME), and Mr. Mriganka Sarkar (NSSHO Head, National SC-ST Hub, Kolkata). The speakers discussed government initiatives for women entrepreneurs, including the Public Procurement Policy and MSME schemes.

With active participation from students across various disciplines, the event concluded on an inspiring note, encouraging attendees to apply their learnings to drive change and growth in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

On 15th January 2025, Amity University Kolkata(AUK) hosted an engaging workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Mrignayani, the Incubation, Innovation, Entrepreneurship Cell (IIE), and Amity Business School & School of Engineering & Technology.
The event kicked off with a special felicitation of CAO K.N. Madhusoodanan and esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Supriyo Sinha, Executive Director – Transformation & Strategy at PGFI - Peerless. With over two decades of experience, Mr. Sinha shared valuable insights from his career, discussing entrepreneurship, innovation, risk-taking, and strategies for building successful startups. His session also covered product development, problem-solving, and the role of an entrepreneur in shaping new solutions.
An interactive Q&A followed, where students from different departments actively engaged in discussions, gaining key knowledge on applying innovative ideas in their startups.
