Today is
Science is a way for us to gain knowledge about how and why things happen the way they do by using our senses to observe the world and experiments to investigate how it works.
Children were explained the followings concepts by showing objects and experiments.
1) Wet and dry - Hands are dry but once dipped in water, it becomes wet.
2) Light and Dark - Children were shown various lights in school, what happens when lights are on and later what happens when light goes off.
Children were also made to understand the concept of Day and Night.
3) Float and Sink - Children have experienced themselves the concept of float and sink by using various objects, what happens to them when they are dropped in water.
4) Logical Consequences:
a) Seed Germination
b) Growth of a frog
c) Burning of a candle.
5) Magic Milk Science Experiment
Milk
Liquid food coloring – gel doesn’t work well
Dish soap
Cotton swabs
1. Pour a thin layer of milk in a shallow pan.
2. Have the kids add drops of food coloring all around in the milk.
3. Then the kids will pick up a cotton swab and dip it in the dish soap.
4. Then put the cotton swab in the milk – pressing it down in one spot and holding it there for about 15 seconds.
