Students, accompanied by (Prof) Dr. Amal Kumar Patra, participated in fieldwork to collect and study economically important insects, such as butterflies, moths, and grasshoppers, in grassland and aerial habitats. This hands-on experience was truly enriching and provided valuable insights as part of their add-on course.

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of a specialized add-on course, initiated by the Department of Zoology at Vivekananda College. This course will delve into the essential methodologies for the collection, preservation, and identification of insects that hold economic importance, equipping students with valuable practical skills in entomology.
