A Celebration of Vocabulary and Vision by the students of NORTH POINT SENIOR SECONDARY BOARDING SCHOOL, RAJARHAT

It was a moment of immense pride today in the morning assembly to honour our young achievers with trophies and certificates from WIZ INTERNATIONAL SPELL BEE for National Level.
The morning took an elevated turn as our respected Principal Ma'am, Vice Principal Ma'am, Teacher In-Charge (TI) Sir ascended the dais to honor the national achievers.
A resounding cheer and rhythmic drum beats echoed through the assembly as our student champions stepped forward to receive their glittering trophies and certificates of excellence. Their tireless dedication to mastering complex etymologies and vocabulary paid off brilliantly on the national stage.
It was a heartwarming moment when our Principal Ma'am received the Award of Appreciation from WIZ International Spell Bee. This prestigious recognition honors her visionary leadership, constant mentorship, and unwavering enthusiasm, which relentlessly push our students to reach higher pinnacles of success.
The applause that reverberated across the morning assembly was a testament to our school's united spirit.

A Saturday of Friendship, Creativity and Togetherness at NPSSBS, Rajarhat

North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat organised an engaging Saturday Activity Programme, with a special focus on celebrating the spirit of Raksha Bandhan through creative and meaningful activities.
The highlight of the day was the Raksha Bandhan-themed creative activity, where students enthusiastically made beautiful Rakhis and decorative items. Through colourful designs and imaginative creations, the activity encouraged students to express the values of love, affection, bonding, and togetherness associated with the festival.
Alongside the special activity, students participated in newspaper reading, developing awareness of current events while strengthening their reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
The regular co-curricular sessions of Swimming, Karate, Dance, and Music further provided opportunities for students to develop physical fitness, discipline, creativity, confidence, and teamwork.
The Saturday programme thus offered a wonderful blend of festive creativity, reading, music, sports, and skill development, making it an enjoyable and enriching experience for the students.

*Brush and Lens:*
_A Celebration of Art, Creativity and Perspective_

North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat hosted “Brush and Lens”, a vibrant Painting Exhibition that provided students with an inspiring platform to showcase their artistic talent, creativity, and unique perspectives.

The exhibition featured an impressive collection of paintings, capturing a variety of scenes and subjects through the students’ imaginative vision. A special focus of the display was the exploration of varied shapes, patterns, and geometric structures, demonstrating how art can transform simple forms into visually engaging compositions.

Through their paintings, students experimented with lines, forms, colours, symmetry, and perspectives, while the photography exhibits reflected their ability to observe and capture interesting details and moments around them. Each artwork represented the students’ individual interpretation and creative expression.

The exhibition celebrated the beautiful connection between traditional painting and the contemporary art of photography, encouraging students to look at their surroundings with greater curiosity and artistic sensitivity.

“Brush and Lens” successfully transformed the exhibition space into a colourful showcase of imagination and talent, celebrating the creativity and artistic potential of the young minds at NPSSBS, Rajarhat.

Independence Day Celebration 2026 at North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat

North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense pride and patriotic fervour through a grand cultural programme titled “Yeh Kahani Hai Tirange Ki.” The celebration brought together respected Founder Secretary Ma'am Mrs. Meena Sethi Mondal Ma'am, Chairman Sir Mr.Amit Sethi Mondal, Director Ma'am Mrs. Manisha Saha, Principal Ma'am Mrs Maitraye Chakraborty, Coordinator Ma'am Mrs. Ritika Sethi Mondal, Prerna Sethi Mondal Ma'am, Vice Principal Ma'am Sutapa Mandal, teachers, staff, students, and esteemed guests in a heartfelt tribute to the nation, its freedom fighters, and the values represented by the Tricolour.

The programme commenced with the welcome and escorting of the Respected Founder Secretary Ma'am and esteemed guests, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and the National Anthem. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the campus with a profound sense of patriotism and national pride.

The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the Respected Founder Secretary Ma'am, Chairman Sir, Director Ma'am, Principal Ma'am, Coordinator Ma'am, Prerna Sethi Mondal Ma'am and Vice Principal Ma'am, symbolising knowledge, hope, and enlightenment.

As the honoured guest for the Independence Day celebration, the renowned cricketer and IPL star Mr. Shreevats Goswami graced the occasion. He inspired the students with an encouraging speech about discipline, teamwork, and the importance of cricket as a sport followed by a warm felicitation by our respected Founder Secretary Mrs Meena Sethi Mondal.
In his speech Mr. Goswami highlighted the planning of the upcoming Cricket Academy which is going to be launched in the school campus very soon. Mr. Chatman Gill the main initiator of the upcoming Cricket Academy was also warmly felicitated by our respected Founder Secretary ma'am.

The cultural programme opened with stirring renditions of “Vande Mataram” and “Mera Mulk Mera Desh,” accompanied by a melodious band performance by the students. The students of TT, Nursery, and KG added a delightful touch with their group song “Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon,” expressing their innocent love for the nation.

A special felicitation ceremony by Respected Founder Secretary Ma'am, Chairman Sir, Director Ma'am, Principal Ma'am, Coordinator Ma'am, Prerna Sethi Mondal Ma'am, Vice Principal Ma'am, TI sir and ma'am, was held to honour the Class X and Class XII toppers of the academic session 2025–26, recognising their academic excellence and dedication. This was followed by the Badge Giving Ceremony for the Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, and Deputy Head Girl, marking the beginning of their leadership journey.

The programme also included the Rank Distribution Ceremony for the NCC Cadets, recognising their discipline, commitment, leadership, and dedication to the ideals of the National Cadet Corps. The cadets were felicitated for their achievements and encouraged to continue upholding the values of unity, discipline, service, and patriotism.

The cultural performances continued with a vibrant group dance by the students of TT and KG, followed by a graceful Yoga Dance. A captivating recitation programme further showcased the literary talents and confidence of the students.

The audience was then treated to energetic group dance performances by the students of Classes I & II, Classes III–V, and Classes VIII & IX. Each presentation beautifully reflected the students' enthusiasm, creativity, coordination, and patriotic spirit.

A thought-provoking skit on Women Empowerment conveyed a powerful message about equality, dignity, confidence, and the significant role of women in the progress and development of the nation.

The students of Classes VI and VII followed with another vibrant group dance, keeping the energy and patriotic spirit of the celebration alive.

The grand finale was the spectacular “Azad Parindey” patriotic dance drama, which beautifully portrayed the journey from sacrifice to freedom and celebrated the dreams, aspirations, and indomitable spirit of a free India. Through powerful expressions, choreography, and music, the students left the audience deeply moved and inspired.

The entire celebration was a magnificent blend of patriotism, culture, academic excellence, leadership, discipline, sportsmanship, and artistic expression. “Yeh Kahani Hai Tirange Ki” was not merely a celebration of Independence but a reminder of the sacrifices behind our freedom and the responsibility of every citizen to uphold the values of unity, integrity, courage, and service.

The programme concluded with a renewed sense of national pride, leaving everyone with the inspiring thought that the Tiranga is not merely a flag—it is a symbol of India's sacrifice, unity, freedom, dreams, and hope for the future.

As part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign 🏠🇮🇳, North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat came alive with the colours of the Tricolour, pride, and patriotism during a grand Tiranga Yatra headed by respected *Respected Founder Secretary Mrs. Meena Sethi Mondal*! Her presence filled the students with energy and determination 🎉🇮🇳

The celebration began at 9:00 AM with a special morning assembly commemorating Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. Through speeches and presentations, students reflected upon the painful memories and hardships endured during the Partition of 1947, highlighting the importance of unity, peace, harmony, and humanity. 🕊️

The campus was soon painted in saffron, white, and green 🧡🤍💚 as Respected Director Ma'am Mrs. Manisha Saha and Respected Principal Ma'am Mrs. Maitraye Chakraborty addressed the gathering with inspiring words, reminding students of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the significance of our National Flag. 🇮🇳

With flags held high and hearts filled with patriotic fervour, the Tiranga Yatra commenced from Siddha Happy Ville Petrol Pump, proceeding through Reckjoani and the 91C Bus Route towards Rajarhat. Respected Founder Secretary led the procession, inspiring everyone with her presence and enthusiasm. 🚩✨

The streets echoed with powerful slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!”, “Vande Mataram!”, and “Har Ghar Tiranga!” 🇮🇳🎶. Patriotic songs and energetic drum beats added vibrancy to the procession, while students proudly carried the Tricolour.

Adding a special historical touch to the yatra, students dressed as legendary freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Khudiram Bose, Matangini Hazra, and Bhagat Singh. Their presence beautifully reminded everyone of the courage, sacrifice, and determination of India's freedom heroes. 🫡🇮🇳

Along the route, local residents warmly welcomed the yatra with smiles and applause 👏, as students spread the message of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and encouraged every household to display the National Flag with pride.

Following the successful completion of the yatra, the school had the honour of welcoming Hon’ble MLA Mr. Piyush Kanodia to the campus. He was warmly felicitated by Respected Head Ma'am, Respected Director Ma'am, and Respected Principal Ma'am. 🌸

Mr. Piyush Kanodia interacted with the students and shared inspiring words, encouraging them to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, discipline, responsibility, and service to the nation. His interaction with the young minds proved to be an inspiring and memorable experience for the entire school community. 🇮🇳✨

The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The sight of hundreds of Tricolours fluttering together created an unforgettable atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

*Celebrating the Gentle Giants:*
_Elephant Day celebration_

North Point Senior Secondary Boarding School, Rajarhat observed Elephant Day with an engaging special assembly aimed at creating awareness about the importance of elephants and the need to protect wildlife.

The assembly featured informative messages highlighting the significance of elephants in maintaining ecological balance and the importance of protecting their natural habitats.

Adding a delightful touch to the celebration, the Pre-Primary students dressed up as adorable elephants and participated enthusiastically in the programme. Their charming costumes brought joy to the celebration while helping introduce the young learners to the importance of caring for animals and nature.

The observance was an enjoyable and meaningful experience that encouraged students to develop compassion towards animals, respect for wildlife, and a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
