Celebration of the 12th Annual Foundation Day of IKAA on 22nd February 2025: A Day to Remember
The 12th Annual Foundation Day Celebration of IKAA at the Regional Meteorological Centre was a truly spectacular event, marking yet another milestone in our organization's journey of excellence and unity. Held on 22nd February, 2025, the event unfolded at the grand portico of MS Building, decked in vibrant hues of flowers and covered chairs, sound system, setting the stage for an unforgettable morning.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the committee to all members and Guest of the day Dr. Somenath Dutta, Sc. G and Head, RMC, Kolkata. All are then enjoyed the opening song by the members and guest artists. Shri Ashoke Kumar Hazra also presents solo songs followed by recitation of Shri Durgadas Banerjee. A moment of silence for 2 minutes was observed in remembrance of the members who had sadly passed away in the last and present year.
Following this, the guest and honorary committee members were felicitated with due respect. The Secretary, Guest, and President then addressed the gathering with a few inspiring words, extending their heartfelt gratitude to all present.
The attendees were assembled at 'Muktadhara' mukta mancha to pay tribute to the revered poet Rabindra Nath Tagore and After a ceremonial garlanding of the poet’s bust by the President and Secretary, all members offered floral tributes as a mark of respect.
After high tea, audited account of last year was passed by the present members by rising their hands.
New committee was selected unanimously as below.

Committee of volunteers for demand on medical needs and others are selected as follows.

For North (Dum Dum etc.):- Swarup kr. Chakravorty, Chanchal kr. Kundu & Durgadas Banerjee
For West (Howrah, Hooghly etc.):- D. K. Sengupta & Pranab Kr Mukhopadhyay
The grand captivating get-together was ended with an ensemble lunch by the committee which culminating the celebration on a high note. Truly, it was a day that will be cherished and remembered by all attendees.

IKAA এর বাৎসরিক পিকনিকের বিষয় চূড়ান্ত করা হয়েছে। বলা যায়, হাওয়া অফিসের প্রাক্তনীরা (পরিবার ও পরিজন সহ) বার্ষিক পারিবারিক বনভোজনের উৎসাহে আবার মিলিত হব আগামী 21 শে জানুয়ারি (মঙ্গলবার), 2025। এবারের স্থান হুগলি জেলার গুড়াপ রেলস্টেশনের অদূরে চোপা নামক গ্রামের সুশীল কুমার ঘোষ স্মৃতি উদ্যান।
কার্যকরী সমিতির আলোচনা ও সিদ্ধান্তের প্রেক্ষিতে শ্রী দুর্গা দাস ব্যানার্জি, শ্রী অরুণ কুমার কর ও শ্রী স্বরূপ কুমার চক্রবর্তী প্রাথমিক কথাবার্তার পর সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা করে এসেছেন। দুর্গাপুর এক্সপ্রেস ধরে গুড়াপ স্টেশনের পর গুড়াপ রেলগেট পেরিয়ে মিনিট পাঁচেক এর হাঁটাপথ।
এছাড়াও সম্মিলিত ভাবে গাড়ির ব্যবস্থা করা হবে দমদম এয়ারপোর্ট ও বেহালা থেকে।
পিকনিকের দিন 21শে জানুয়ারি, 2025, মঙ্গলবার।
উদ্যান পৌঁছে স্ন্যাকস ও চা/কফির ব্যবস্থা থাকবে।এছাড়াও বিশ্রামের জন্য ওয়াশরুম সংলগ্ন ঘর (২টি), দ্বিপ্রাহরিক ভোজন ও সান্ধ্য চা এর ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। দমদম এয়ারপোর্ট থেকে ডানলপ, দক্ষিণেশ্বর, বালি হয়ে যে গাড়ীর ব্যবস্থা হবে, তাতে যাদের সুবিধা হবে তারা ডি ডি ব্যানার্জী বা স্বরূপ চক্রবর্তীর সাথে যোগাযোগ করবেন। দক্ষিণ কলকাতা বা যাদের দ্বিতীয় হুগলি সেতু দিয়ে আসার সুবিধা, তারা টি কে রায় বা টি কে ঘোষালের সাথে যোগাযোগ করবেন, যাতে গাড়ির ব্যবস্থা করার সুবিধা হয়। সরাসরি আসতে চাইলে, বর্ধমান কর্ডে গুড়াপ স্টেশন (60 কিমি মতন) পৌঁছাতে হবে। তারপর পথনির্দেশ আগেই দেওয়া হয়েছে। স্টেশন থেকে টোটো পাওয়া যাবে।
যাওয়ার পথে গাড়িতে জলখাবার, চা ইত্যাদির দায়িত্ব ওই গাড়ির যাত্রীদের। মাথাপিছু গাড়িভাড়া ও টিফিন সমেত মোটামুটি এক হাজার টাকা ধার্য হয়েছে। সময় কম থাকায়, আমাদের সুচারু রূপে কাজ শেষ করার জন্য সত্ত্বর আপনারা ক'জন যেতে পারবেন জানান। এই হোয়াটস অ্যাপ গ্রুপেই আপনারা কজন যাচ্ছেন ও কোথা থেকে যাবেন (গাড়িতে চড়বেন) উল্লেখ করলে আমাদের সুবিধা হবে।
মনে রাখবেন, এটি একটি পারিবারিক বনভোজন। বিশদ তথ্যের জন্য নিচের নম্বরে যোগাযোগ করতে অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে।

পিকনিক এর জায়গা ও ঘরের বুকিং হয়ে গেছে। দমদম থেকে এয়ারপোর্ট, ডানলপ, দক্ষিণেশ্বর, বালি হয়ে যে বাস যাবে, তারও বুকিং হয়ে গেছে। বেহালা অঞ্চল থেকে যারা যাবেন, সত্ত্বর যোগাযোগ করুন। সেই অনুযায়ী গাড়ির ব্যবস্থা করা হবে।
