GNIHM ORGANISES ‘AARAMBH’ TO WELCOME FRESHERS

Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management, a JIS Group educational initiative organised “Aarambh”, a vibrant cultural event to welcome its new batch of students across various hospitality programs.

GNIDSR ORGANISES DENTAL CAMP

Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences & Research (GNIDSR), an educational initiative of JIS Group, organized a dental screening and treatment camp at Chakpara Sarada Devi Girls' High School in Liluah, Howrah. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Liluah Book Fair Foundation and Utthan Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.

A dedicated team of doctors from GNIDSR's Department of Public Health Dentistry, along with six interns, screened 110 children and provided treatment to 29 students in their fully equipped Mobile Dental Van.

NCC UNIT OF NiT ORGANISES ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

The NCC unit of Narula Institute of Technology (NiT), in partnership with Susunia Adventure Academy—a mountaineering club registered under the West Bengal Youth Services Department and accredited by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation—organized an exciting series of adventure activities. These included waterfall rappelling, zip lining, and river crossing, which offered students an opportunity to challenge themselves, explore nature and test their courage and skills amidst nature's challenges.

The activities were organised at the picturesque Turga and Bamni Waterfalls in Purulia, West Bengal. Six enthusiastic students from various departments of NiT participated, making the event both exhilarating and a memorable learning experience.

JISCE CELEBRATES 25th FOUNDATION DAY

JIS College of Engineering (JISCE) marked its 25th Foundation Day with a grand celebration, reflecting on a quarter-century of academic excellence and growth. The event commenced with Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Principal of JISCE, paying floral tributes to the institution’s founders, Late Sardar Jodh Singh, Founder Chairman of JIS Group, and Late Sardarni Satnam Kaur, Chairperson of JIS Group.

A highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of an Alumni Wall, which honored the remarkable achievements of JISCE’s alumni and underscored the institution's enduring legacy. The ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp was conducted by Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Pro-Chancellor of JIS University; Shri. Joydeep Banerjee of IBM India; and Prof. Mathew Chandrankunnel, Independent International Researcher, who were the guests of honor.
In his address, Dr. Sarkar traced JISCE’s journey from its modest beginnings to its current prominence as a leading engineering institution. The guests of honor offered inspiring words, motivating students to strive for excellence.

The event also featured a vibrant cultural program that added color and energy to the celebration. To honor exceptional contributions, Institutional Service Awards and Academic Achievement Awards were presented to faculty and students, celebrating their excellence and dedication.

JIS University successfully organized Pre-Placement Orientation and Baseline Tests for all 3rd and 4th year B. Tech (CSE – all specializations) students. The program utilized the "myperfectice" platform, which offers a comprehensive approach to skill enhancement. NiT ORGANISES STUDY TOUR

Narula Institute of Technology (NiT) organized an industrial study tour for the Department of Electrical Engineering to Coca-Cola's bottling plant, operated by Diamond Beverages Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata. Over 40 students, along with faculty members and technical assistants visited the plant and gained insights into the batch processing technology used in the beverage industry. The group also toured the research and development lab, where they observed the testing processes essential to maintaining quality and efficiency within the production unit.

JISIASR ORGANISES AN INDUSTRIAL STUDY VISIT

The Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies of the JIS Institute of Advanced Studies & Research (JISIASR) organized an industrial study visit for its students & faculty to Agastya Invention Pvt. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of domestic and portable biogas storage tanks, water storage bags, and bladder tanks for waste management.

This visit offered a valuable learning experience, giving students first-hand exposure to innovative solutions in renewable energy and sustainable water management. They gained practical insights into the design, production, and application of biogas storage systems and advanced water storage technologies. The interaction with industry professionals allowed them to deepen their understanding of real-world challenges and opportunities in the field of sustainable practices, aligning with JIS Group’s mission to foster future-ready professionals in renewable energy.
The experience not only bridged the gap between classroom theory and practical application but also inspired students to think creatively about sustainability and its role in shaping a greener future.

JISU SIGNS MoU WITH HOA SEN UNIVERSITY

JIS University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hoa Sen University, Vietnam. The MoU was signed in Vietnam by Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Pro Chancellor of JIS University, and Ed.D. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice President of Hoa Sen University. Shri. Bidyut Majumder, Deputy Director – Business Development, JIS Group was also present on the occasion.
