A luminary of eloquence, Rohnit's mind is sharpened by the rigors of Model United Nations and Oxford-style extempores, rendering him a formidable debater with an unparalleled flair for persuasive discourse. 📚✨ His erudite approach to complex ideas, coupled with strategic thinking, enables him to navigate debates with ease. A bibliophile par excellence, Rohnit's world is woven from the pages of timeless literature, where every book is a portal to new ideas. Meet Meera Manikandan — the poised powerhouse now serving as the Undersecretary of the Scottish Church College Debating Society (2024–25)!
A dedicated debater with a sharp mind and a steady voice, Meera has spent years turning questions into conversations and arguments into art. From school stages where she claimed numerous laurels in elocution, declamation, and debate — to college corridors echoing with her clarity and conviction — Meera brings elegance and impact to every podium she steps onto.
But her artistry doesn’t end with words. A trained Indian classical dancer since the age of five, Meera moves with the same grace she speaks with. Off-stage, you’ll find her writing reflections, strumming her guitar, or capturing emotion on a canvas — each passion an extension of her expressive soul.
Meera is a learner, a leader, and a luminous presence — eager to grow and unafraid to shine. With confidence in her heart and a cause in her voice, she’s all set to help lead this year into thoughtful, thrilling debate.

Meet Tamal, the newest maestro steering the ship of the Debating Society at Scottish Church College! A force to reckon with in the Youth Parliament arena (famously known as Tejasvi Surya). Known for leading the Delegation of Cosmos with effortless finesse, he transforms complex ideas into compelling narratives, leaving both allies and opponents in awe.
When he’s not dominating debates, Tamal channels his passion into cheering for Royal Challengers Bangalore🏏 and revving up for Formula 1, where his admiration for Carlos Sainz (aka the Smooth Operator) knows no bounds. A true blend of intellect and adrenaline, Tamal thrives where logic meets passion.
We’re thrilled to welcome him as our Secretary for 2024-25! Gear up for a year of fiery debates, innovative ideas, and unstoppable energy. Congratulations, Tamal () 🚀✨
