KALAPI....an institution with a MOTIF...who works for the society and next generation Kalapi is a dancing peacock. Tagore is one of our main inspiration.

Like a ecstatic peacock dance with their vibrant colorful plumes spread in a rainy day and provide a beam of smile to the onlooker, similarly we a small benevolent group, through our vision and endeavor like to bring a little laugh on the face of children who are burdened with gloom on their tender mind and soul. Kalapi essentially is a conglomeration of few likeminded friends who has an aspiratio

n to do provide some help and support for the lesser privileged children and needy section of our society. We take modest endeavor to provide help and comfort through our fund raising and charitable program and cultural show. Till its formal inception in Sept 2014, Kalapi has been able to sustain its objective by fund raising through individual capacities and income from its two dance schools, where Contemporary and Bharat Natyam are taught to approximate 50 students. We work in the segment of dance and drama either based on his composition or script made with his songs and vision. Not only Tagore, our theme and thoughts are also choreographed on contemporary issues and ideas with which one can identify oneself. We have been able to leave an impression in the mind of audiences in festivals in India and abroad.

𝗔 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗦! Kalapi is pleased to announce the introduction of 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 commencing 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.. 𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜 will lead the class, offering expert instruction in Classical Tabla based on Lucknow Gharana.

At the age of 5, he initiated his Tabla training under the tutelage of Sri Arnab Majumder. Subsequently, he received mentorship from Guru Kumarjit Ganguli in Lucknow Gharana. Currently, he is completing his graduation in Percussion from Rabindra Bharati University, with Tabla as his area of specialization.

নৃত্যকাব্য।।
আবার কলাপী আয়োজিত নৃত্যকর্মশালা!!
নৃত্যকর্মশালা ভারতীয় সৃজনশীল নৃত্যের আঙ্গিকে। কিন্তু নামের মধ্যে আরও কিছু কী লুকিয়ে আছে? ঠিকই তো! নৃত্যকাব্য। এই কর্মশালায় যেমন শেখা যাবে সৃজনশীল নৃত্যের পদ্ধতি, তেমনই জানা যাবে শব্দ প্রক্ষেপনের বৈজ্ঞানিক ব্যাখ্যা। এবং নৃত্য ও কাব্যের মিলন ঘটবে। যেখানে নৃত্য হবে কবিতার ছন্দে আবার কবিতা কে ব্যক্ত করবে নৃত্যপরিবেশনা। আর হ্যাঁ।। এই দুই এর মিলন ঘটাবে তারাই যারা এই কর্মশালায় অংশগ্রহণ করবেন। অর্থাৎ সমস্ত অংশগ্রহণকারী নৃত্য ও আবৃত্তি অথবা পাঠ শেখার সুযোগ পাবে।কর্মশালার বিস্তারিত বিবরণ নীচে দেওয়া হল। এই ধরণের অভিনব সৃজনশীল কর্মশালার কথা ভেবে আমরা খুবই আনন্দিত এবং আমরা চাইছি সকলের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ। তাহলে দেখা হচ্ছে মে মাসের ১৯, ২০ ২১ তারিখ এ।
