Heartiest congratulations to Aaratrika Mondal of Class IX for securing the 5th Position in Bharatanatyam – Senior Category (Grades VIII–X) at Vandana 2026, the All India Inter-School Dance & Music Competition organised by The Heritage Foundation of Art and Culture. 🏆💃

With around 105 schools from 45 cities across India participating, this achievement is truly commendable. 🌟

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our young karatekas at the 10th International Karate Championship 2026 – Indian Challengers Cup, organised by Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu Karate-Do Federation, in association with the Karate-Do Association of Bengal and recognised by the Bengal Olympic Association.

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School Old Girls’ Association organised a comprehensive Health Check-Up Camp for the school staff on 17 August 2026 at the Mini Hall , Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School.

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School proudly qualifies for the National Level of the CBSE Skill & Guidance Expo 2026! 🇮🇳

At the Regional Level – Kolkata Region under RO Bhubaneswar, two innovative models from our school earned recognition for their creativity, innovation and problem-solving spirit.

🌿 BANAURA – Biodegradable Sanitary Napkins
Developed using banana fibre and biodegradable, water-dispersible bioplastic, BANAURA was presented by Rajasmita Bishnu and Bibhabori Bhattacharya of Class XII, under the mentorship of Mrs. Koninika De, in the Environment & Sustainability theme.

🍎 ATREYA – The Prebiotic DigestiPop
A health-focused innovation presented by Sanjhbati Majumdar and Ayusmita Mukherjee of Class X, under the mentorship of Mrs. Sneha De, in the Health & Wellness theme.

Adding another glorious feather to our cap, BANAURA secured the Second Runner-Up position at the Regional Level – Kolkata Region under RO Bhubaneswar and has earned its place at the National Level! 🏆✨

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School celebrated the spirit of patriotism and freedom through a vibrant series of activities leading up to Independence Day 2026.

From creative expressions to thoughtful reflections, our students came together to honour the nation and remember the sacrifices that shaped our freedom.

🇮🇳 Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom at Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School 🇮🇳

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with a solemn and inspiring celebration of patriotism, unity and the enduring spirit of freedom.

The programme commenced with the assembly of students, followed by the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, Mr. Prasanta Kumar Dutt, President, Managing Committee, Gokhale Memorial Girls' School. The ceremony continued with the invocation of Vande Mataram, the students’ pledge, patriotic songs and the felicitation of the Chief Guest.

The students proudly participated in the March Past and Salute, culminating in the singing of the National Anthem.

The celebrations continued with a melodious song by the Primary students, while the Secondary students showcased a spirited PT Display. The programme also included a review of the School Social Service League and a meaningful donation to NGOs, reflecting the school’s commitment to service and social responsibility.

The celebration was a beautiful reminder that the spirit of independence lives not only in our national symbols, but also in the values of responsibility, compassion, discipline and service that we nurture in our young citizens.

Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School is proud to be a part of the Padho Bharat All India Inter-School Book Collection Competition, an initiative by the India Humanity Foundation, promoting the joy of reading and child literacy across the nation.

Through the enthusiastic efforts of our Interact Club and our student community, GMGS came together to collect an incredible 1,239 books! 📖✨

We are delighted to share that two new libraries have already been created in recognition of our school’s contribution at:
