A meaningful journey where history, art and creativity came together to make the past visible again 🎨

From 3rd to 7th August 2026, students of Class VIII from The Newtown School, Kolkata participated in “Past in Print: 2026”, a five-day immersive art and printmaking programme organised by DAG Museum in collaboration with Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata.

Exploring history through visual storytelling, students researched lesser-known icons including Usha Mehta, Uda Devi, Bina Das, Kulsum Sayani and Rani Gaidinliu, and transformed their stories into original poster designs through hands-on serigraphy and screen printing.

The Newtown School, Kolkata celebrates the remarkable success of our students at the CBSE Cluster II Athletics Meet 2026, organised by KIIT, Bhubaneswar.

🥇 Diva Dugar (Class IX A) secured the Gold Medal in the Under-17 Girls' 800m event.
🥈 Jyoshna Kumari (Class V E) won the Silver Medal in the Under-17 Girls' 3000m event.
