🔹 What is a Linking Verb?
A linking verb connects the subject of a sentence to a word or phrase (like an adjective or noun) that gives more information about the subject.
🔹 Common Linking Verbs:
Be (am, is, are, was, were, etc.)
Seem
Become
Appear
Look
Feel
Taste
Sound
Grow
Remain
🔹 Examples:
1. She is a teacher. (“is” links “she” to “a teacher”)
2. The soup tastes delicious. (“tastes” links “soup” to “delicious”)
3. He became angry. (“became” links “he” to “angry”)
🔹 Tip to Remember:
If the verb can be replaced with “is” or “are” and the sentence still makes sense, it's likely a linking verb.
✅ Linking verbs do not show action, but help describe or identify the subject.

My solace, my mirror, my echo of tears.
Through metaphors shaped in solitude's hue,
I carve out the silence the world never knew.
Every pause, a rhythm. Every scar, a spark.
