Anahita- The Literary Club, HIT-K

Anahita celebrated India's 75th Independence Day with an online writing competition on the theme of
'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav '.
We received some inspiring entries and we are extremely proud to announce the results of the competition.

Tagore sculpts our souls right from childhood till the time we exhale the last breath. Whether in the form of reciting poetry at school, drenching in the first rain of the season or voicing our opinions to suppress the wrong.

Celebrating the grandeur of Tagore - the mighty mind which showed the world that language cannot be a barrier in the way of art.

The much awaited auditions of *Anahita- The literary Club of HIT-K* will be taking place on *18th April 2022, from 2pm onwards at CB 607*.

📍For the creative writing audition, applicants will be provided with a common topic and they will be required to write a piece(poem/essay/story) on that topic and submit it to the panel. *Everyone is thus requested to carry a piece of paper and a pen.*

📍For the recitation part of the audition applicants will be provided with a poem that they will have to recite infront of the panel.

📍For both the auditions applicants will be given a topic/poem on the basis of their preferred language and hence *no request for change of topic/poem will be entertained*.

📍If you have any lab/class in the second half kindly notify any of the coordinators.

From our childhood days much emphasis has been given on the need of learning to speak and write english flawlessly. And more often than not we find ourselves emulating the diction of the english speaking community. The ability to speak proper english has become a parameter of one's capabilities and thus it is only natural that we belittle those who wish to hold on to their culture and heritage.

This International Mother Language Day the second year student members of Anahita decided to make a change, as they remembered and paid tribute to the heroes of the Bhasha Andolan through a combination of invigorating speeches and poems. The sacrifices made by the martyrs make us realise that as long as we hold on to our identity, our culture and heritage no external force can truly conquer us.

On 21 Feb, 2022 as the members of Anahita took the stage we recieved an overwhelming response from the audience and we would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone for attending and supporting us.❤

Anahita is all geared up for celebrating International Mother Language day tomorrow.

Here is a chance to bring out your creative artist stuck within the walls of everyday life and also get acknowledged.
We believe every pen can create art and every voice can strike a heart, so participation is open to all!

📌*Event 1 : Creativo (Write-up Competition)*
1. Write-up submissions must be original and can be in any of the three languages- English, Hindi and Bengali.
2. Topic : Abstract (open).

3. Topic : Nature and emotions.

~Bedtime ~

Every summer,once the rains are shed,
Mother Nature says, "It's time for bed."
The trees, the branches, feel lightness,
As they let leaves fall, all over wilderness.

Mighty mountains prepare to go to sleep,
As they slowly sew blankets,white and deep; The wind blows whistle,for birds to migrate,
As bears design caves, to properly hibernate.

The world turns hues of red,orange,yellow, Everyday gets shorter, the Sun turns mellow; The weeks grow colder,as winter creeps in,
Like nights cover dusk skies, deep within.

The season of autumn brings a reign of rest, After spring's bloom and summer's fiery fest;
As winter slowly turns everything blue,
Mother earth kisses goodnight, bids adieu.

Durga pujo is finally here and we cannot keep calm. Like every year the clubs have worked together to celebrate the homecoming of our mother even amidst this global pandemic. Anahita-the literary club of HIT-K and Resonance- the music club of HIT-K have come together to start off your pujo in a grand style. पैरों में छाले पड़े होंगे ,
प्यास से होंठ सुख रहे होंगे,
फिर भी मुझको मेरे हाल
पर छोड़ देना ।

कितना भी बिखड़ कर
