Interact Club Of St. James' School

Greetings!!
Today all of the hard work of the Interact Club Of St.James’ School paid off. The year 2017-18 was very special for the Club and today we feel that all of our efforts have been recognised and that we’ve truly accomplished our goal of ‘Service Before Self’.

Today at the Annual Interact Meet, the Interact Club Of St.James’ School lifted the trophy of the Best Interact Club after 18 years. Our President, Rishi Jindal was declared as the Best President for the year 2017-18 and was also bestowed with the title of ITR. Our Secretary, Aditya Jaiswal was declared as the Best Secretary for the year 2017-18.

Last but not the least, we would like to thank that person because of whom this Club exists, this person is the reason for the immense success of our club, Mr. Joseph Chacko. Sir, we thank you for all the succour and for all the trust you’ve had on us. This amazing journey wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank You Sir.

Here's wishing everyone, a very Happy Bengali New Year! May this year be more colourful, enthralling and exciting than ever.

It's time to celebrate the rich Bengali culture, and give back to the city of Joy, the tremendous amount of love and compassion it has flowered us with, every single day. Come along and strive to spread this positivity around us, and enjoy the beauty and charisma of the brightly lit up city.

Also, let us all take up a New Year resolution of working and contributing in whatever possible, towards the society, and enrich ourselves with the joy of serving others.

During Lent, we enter into a season of preparation, self-reflection and repentance when we seek to literally “turn around” and realign our lives and focus toward God. It is a time to give up things as well as take on new life-giving practices, helping us rid ourselves of distractions and our own selfish desires. By doing so, we seek to live and love as more faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Easter Season, also known as Eastertide or the Great Fifty Days, begins on Easter Day and ends on Pentecost. Focusing on Christ's resurrection and ascension and the sending of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost), Eastertide is the most joyous and celebrative season of the Christian year. We celebrate the good news that in Christ’s death and resurrection we, and all creation, are continually being made new by God’s love and saving grace.

Below you will find some creative ideas for encouraging your members to deepen their own spiritual journeys and for reaching out to your community to share this season's message of love, hope and transformation.

The Interact Club of St James' School undertook its first project of the year. Every interacter, gave his best to make a difference by his contribution, and bring about smiles to innumerable faces. Backed by selflessness, our ultimate aim is to make our presence felt by social help and service in every way possible.

It was truly a wonderful experience spending time with students of Ideal School for the deaf, followed by three orphanages in the Salt Lake area on the 23rd of March. Also it turned out to be our President Rishi Jindal's birthday that day, and there could not have been a better way to celebrate the occasion.

It has been an immense pleasure working and spending time with sir, and is something which will always be cherished.
Sir, had it not been because of your efforts, we wouldn't have been able to reach to this level today. We are deeply grateful for your support and contributions, and we promise to take your legacy forward, in every way possible.

"service Before Self'

On Christmas Eve, the Interact Club Of St.James’ School in collaboration with the Interact Club Of Calcutta International School and the Interact Club Of Chowringhee High School organised a blanket distribution drive.
We distributed over 500 blankets and biscuit packets to the underprivileged. We distributed blankets in Moulali, Sealdah, Park Circus, Neemtala Ghat, and Kalighat area. We tried our best to help these underprivileged people and the smiles on their faces is a definite proof of the fact that we were successful.
