Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship awards 33 young entrepreneurs

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has awarded 30 outstanding young entrepreneurs and three entrepreneurship ecosystem builders at the end of its third edition of the National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA). Each winner received a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, while each ecosystem-enabler bagged a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

Pradhan says Ayushman to provide health facilities to half of India

Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said Ayushman Bharat, popularly known as Modicare, is the biggest health care system being implemented by the state which will provide health facilities to almost half the country’s population.
Addressing the 15th Health Summit organised by the CII here, the Minister said an entrepreneurial model is being created by tapping the talent, energy and resources outside the government system to provide affordable, accessible and sustainable healthcare.
He said an ecosystem is being created to provide for more doctors, para-medicos and health infrastructure. This has given big boost to the health industry, as India is also becoming a favourite destination for overseas patients, particularly from Africa, Asia and Latin America, and the sector is becoming a service exporter.
Mr Pradhan added that there have been formal agreements with Japan and UAE for providing skilled manpower in the healthcare sector, as Indian workforce has the qualities of sensitivity, compassion and responsibility.

Dharmendra Pradhan discusses skill development of Indians with UAE Human Resource Minister
Indian Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday called on UAE's Minister for Human Resource Nasser Bin Thani Juma Al Hamli and discussed enhancing skills of Indians in the UAE. "Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship with Amb called on HE Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and discussed enhancing skill development of Indians in UAE," read a tweet posted by the Indian Embassy in the UAE.

Highlighting the agenda of the meeting, Pradhan said that he discussed with the Minister for Human Resource the areas of cooperation in the field of skill development of Indian people working in the UAE.
