প্রত্যেক বছর ৮ ই মার্চ আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস পালিত হয় দেখে আসছি নারীদের সমাজে আরো ক্ষমতায়ন, অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য, মধ্যযুগীয় মানসীকতায় অবদমিত করে রাখার প্রচেষ্টার বিপরীতে তাদের খোলা আকাশ, সম্পূর্ণ স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণাকে আরো বলিষ্ঠ করার জন্য, কিন্তু এসব তো সব কাগুজে শব্দ... IMF EastZone নারী দিবসকে উপলক্ষ্য করে যে বিশাল কর্মকান্ড করেছিল, আজকে তার সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠানে গিয়ে তো তাজ্জব হয়ে যাবার যোগাড় , এ তো রীতিমত বিপ্লব ! ট্রেকিং, সাইক্লিং, কায়াকিং, ক্লাইম্বিঙ, লং ডিস্টেন্স রানিং কি করেনি আমাদের বাঘিনীরা। ৭১ বছরের কিশোরী পলাশী থেকে সাইক্লিঙ করে চলে এসেছে কলকাতায়, বছর দশেকের একরদ্দি একটা মেয়ে গঙ্গায় ৬ কিমি সাঁতার কেটে ফেলেছে, কোথায় পুরুলিয়ার ঝালদা আর কোথায় যাদবপুর - সাইক্লিঙ করে চলে এসেছে দুটি সাহসিনী, ঘর সামলে বাচ্চা সামলে কেউ চলে গেছে ট্রেকিঙে সান্দাকফু তো কেউ চড়ে ফেলেছে sport climbing wall, কয়েকটি মেয়ে আবার ইচ্ছাপুর থেকে কামারহাটী একদৌড়ে পৌঁছে গেছে, প্রায় গোটা দেশ থেকে মেয়েরা এসে কায়াক বেয়েছে জলঙ্গির বুকে। এমন আরো কতশত যে পথের গল্প শুনলাম, মনে রাখাও দুসাধ্য।

আশা রাখি মানুষের লোভের জালে বন্দি জলঙ্গী নদী যেমন সব জাল ছিন্ন করে একদিন ঠিক কলকল করে বয়ে যাবে তার অভীষ্টে, এই একদল চঞ্চল কিন্তু লক্ষেস্থির, দুঃসাহসী কিন্তু বেপড়োয়া নয় এমন দুর্দমনীয় মেয়েদের ‘সংলাপে’ অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে আরো হাজারো মেয়ে সমাজের সব অকেজো শৃঙ্খল ভেঙে খুঁজে নেবে তাদের ভালো থাকার আর ভালো রাখার রসদ।

ADVENTURE CAMP 2026 – Learn the Right Way to Explore Nature

Kamarhati Trekkers’ Association invites adventure enthusiasts and beginners to join our Adventure Camp at Ichhegaon, Kalimpong.
This camp is designed to introduce participants to outdoor living with proper guidance, discipline, and safety awareness.

Through structured activities like outdoor survival training, camping, jungle trekking, rope courses, and self-cooking, participants learn what is right, what to avoid, and how to responsibly engage with nature.
