A night we’ll remember for a long time. ❤️

19th August brought an extraordinary evening of music, a full house at Rabindra Sadan, and so many familiar faces coming together for Pandit Subhankar Banerjee’s 60th birth anniversary.

Grateful for every note, every artist, and everyone who was there.

There is something deeply fulfilling about returning to this day, year after year, and celebrating it through the Tabla. With every passing year, we find ourselves remembering Pandit Subhankar Banerjee with a little less remorse and a little more joy in our hearts — just as we believe he would have wanted us to.

To see a hall full of people come together for a Tabla festival was truly overwhelming. It is rare to witness an audience gather in such numbers for an evening devoted entirely to the Tabla, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced it.

We are deeply honoured and grateful to all the wonderful artistes who shared the stage with us. And to everyone who has stood by KMF and Subhadhwani through and through, and to our lovely audience who continue to show up year after year — thank you. Your presence gives this journey its meaning.

We hope to have your love, trust and support with us in the years to come.

Until next 25th August. ❤️

Unlike our usual classical music evenings, Subhadhwani brought a full evening of Bangla music to the stage at Mahajati Sadan on 20th August. We were truly grateful to have Shri Srikanta Acharya and Smt. Subhamita Banerjee with us for this very special evening.

Both artists thoughtfully curated a beautiful collection of songs especially for Subhadhwani, bringing together pieces that felt personal, familiar and yet wonderfully unexpected. What made the evening even more special was that both of them chose to sing a song each that had been recorded by Guruji.

Both of them shared a close bond with Panditji, and hearing their voices bring back those songs was an emotional experience for all of us.

It was an evening of music, memories and a lot of heart. We are deeply grateful to everyone who came and made it so special. ❤️

What an evening it was. ❤️

19th August at Rabindra Sadan was truly special — a houseful auditorium, an incredible gathering of musicians and music lovers, and a celebration of our Guru, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, on what would have been his 60th birthday.

We feel immensely grateful to Padma Bhushan Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Vidushi Saswati Sen and Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia for being with us and making the evening so memorable with their extraordinary performances.

To see so many musicians, students, friends and well-wishers come together for Him meant more to us than words can express.

Thank you to everyone who filled the hall, shared the evening with us and continues to stand by KMF and the journey of Subhadhwani.

Here’s to keeping his music, warmth and spirit alive — year after year. ❤️

Two wonderful musicians, one evening of Tabla. 🎶

Joining our two Tabla duets on 25th August are two distinguished harmonium players — Shri Hiranmay Mitra and Shri Sanatan Goswami, both accomplished musicians in their own right.

Their artistry will add another dimension to an evening that brings together generations of Tabla players, in celebration of the 60th birth anniversary of Pandit Subhankar Banerjee.
