Kajalrekha Musical Foundation and Taalsen Music Academy invites applications for its yearly music competition, aimed at encouraging and supporting young talent in Indian classical music. As part of KMF’s ongoing initiatives, this competition provides a valuable platform for emerging artists to present their skills before respected gurus, invited guests, and an engaged audience.
Categories include Khayal, Tabla, and Indian Instruments.
Submit your video entries by 10th of May and get the chance to perform at the Grand Finale in Kolkata.

Happy 8th Birthday to Taalsen! 🎵

This day holds double the joy for us — not only do we celebrate the birth of our academy, but it also beautifully coincides with Teachers’ Day. 🌸

On this special occasion, our hearts are filled with gratitude for our teachers, our Gurus, our guides — whose vision, dedication, and blessings gave life to Taalsen. It is because of them that this academy came into being, nurturing students and keeping the rhythm of tradition alive. 💫

Here’s to 8 years of music, learning, and togetherness — and to many more years of carrying this legacy forward. ❤️

An evening of tabla, an evening of remembrance — our way of holding on to Guruji’s memories. On 25th August, we sat transfixed, listening to the mesmerizing bol-bani of our respected guest artists. That a working Monday evening could fill the auditorium is proof of the magic of music. Thank you to everyone who always stands by us and comes together for the one and only Pandit Subhankar Banerjee. ♥

On 19th August, we came together once again to celebrate the birth anniversary of Pandit Subhankar Banerjee — a day that has now become a tradition of music, love, and remembrance. 🎶✨

The concert was graced by the presence of many esteemed musicians and guests, each performance carrying the spirit that he stood for. It was heartwarming to witness such love and respect in his name — not just for the artist he was, but for the person everyone cherished deeply.

This year, we were also delighted to confer the aid to Shri Suprakash Chaki and to launch our souvenir, which featured contributions from brands and beautiful write-ups from the performing artists.

We are filled with gratitude for the overwhelming support and for every note of music that made the evening truly memorable. 🙏❤️ Looking forward to our upcoming concert on 25th!
