With Meccano – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉

I was so inspired by Kevin Day incredible drawing of a Meccano ship and dockside scene (check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BxKPw5nDG/) that I had to try something fun!

I used Gemini to imagine what Kevin's beautiful image might look like if it were actually built with classic Meccano parts. I kept it to the light and dark grey perforated strips and plates and added a moody, atmospheric touch on an old wooden table.

It's amazing to see how the drawing translates into a physical model! Big thanks to Kevin Day for the fantastic image that sparked this idea.

I think he’s onto my 'look but don't touch' policy... 😂

Zephyr Toys Meccano

Happy New Year to all!

Beginning the new year with a bit of restoration work .I had a lot of extra repro strips that needed to match the Zephyr Mechanix colour, so I mixed black and white enamel paint to dial in the right shade of grey. The result looks pretty close!

Also gave some much-needed TLC to a bunch of old 9h strips and painted them green.
