Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Newtown Joins the 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign

Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Newtown organised an insightful session on Nasha Mukt Bharat for students of Classes IX to XII, conducted by the Brahma Kumari Sisters, New Town, Kolkata, as part of the 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign, being observed on 20th August ,2026.

The session focussed on sensitising students to the harmful consequences of addiction and promoting self-discipline and positive choices . Students were guided through a meditation session, encouraging inner peace and mental well-being by Brahma Kumaris Sister Padma .

Principal, Ms.Sayantika Bhattacharya along with the respective In-charges, teachers and students collectively took the Addiction-Free Pledge, promising not only to abstain from addictive substances but also to encourage their near and dear ones to do the same.

The session concluded with the address of the Principal highlighting the disastrous consequences of addiction and urged students to be “addicted” instead to positive ideas, values and principles that foster a healthy mindset.The school was awarded with an Appreciation Certificate for hosting the awareness campaign.
