The session by Dr. Debika Banerji on “Stories from River Landscapes: An Intersection of Memory, Ecology and Sustenance of Adi Ganga River” offered valuable insights into the relationship between rivers, ecology, history, and human sustenance. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, our institution proudly organized a meaningful celebration to honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in all spheres of life. The programme was organized by the Department of English, Department of Political Science, and NSS Unit 1, reflecting a collaborative effort to promote awareness, expression, and empowerment.

The Department of Science successfully organized a student seminar on “Food Through the Lens of Chemistry and Biology” where B.Sc. MDC Semester I and III students connected Chemistry, Botany and Zoology to the food we eat every day. From microbes and metabolism to food safety, preservatives, antioxidants, and adulteration, the seminar offered insightful and engaging presentations that highlighted the complexities of our modern food system.
