Contributions are invited for the proposed edited volume titled “Generation Z and International Relations: Youth, Digital Power and the Making of a New World Order.” The volume seeks to explore how Generation Z is reshaping international relations through digital activism, political participation, communication, identity, and emerging ideas of global power and world order. The last date for submission of the full paper is 20 August 2026. The Jadavpur Association of International Relations (JAIR) successfully celebrated its 20th Foundation Day with a distinguished Foundation Day Lecture, followed by its Annual General Body Meeting and a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony.

During the Annual General Body Meeting, the Annual General Body Report and Audit Report were presented and adopted, the appointment of the auditor was finalized, and the newly constituted Executive Committee and Governing Body were formed.

A major highlight of the celebration was the official launch of JAIR’s new website, www.jaironline.com, inaugurated by Professor Dipankar Sinha. The website marks an important step towards strengthening JAIR’s digital presence and making its academic activities, publications, events, institutional history, membership information, and organizational updates more accessible to the wider academic community.

The Jadavpur Association of International Relations (JAIR) successfully celebrated its 20th Foundation Day with a distinguished Foundation Day Lecture, followed by the Annual General Body Meeting. During the meeting, the Annual General Body Report and Audit Report were presented and discussed, the appointment of the auditor was finalized, and the new Executive Committee was formed. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the necessary resolutions and a renewed commitment to strengthening JAIR’s academic and organizational activities.

The celebration was made even more memorable with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking two decades of JAIR’s contribution to academic excellence, critical scholarship, and meaningful engagement in the field of International Relations. JAIR extends its sincere gratitude to the speakers, chairperson, members, students, alumni, and well-wishers whose presence and participation made the occasion a grand success.

The Jadavpur Association of International Relations (JAIR) successfully celebrated its 20th Foundation Day on 22 July 2026 at Vivekananda Hall, Jadavpur University, marking two decades of academic excellence, intellectual engagement, and meaningful contributions to the study of International Relations, public policy, and strategic affairs.

The Foundation Day Lecture was delivered by Professor Ishani Naskar, Professor, Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. The session was chaired by Professor Partha Pratim Basu, Professor, Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. The programme brought together distinguished teachers, scholars, students, alumni, members of JAIR, and well-wishers to reflect on the Association’s rich academic journey and its continuing commitment to critical scholarship, informed public discourse, and engagement between academia and policy.

As JAIR enters its third decade, the occasion reaffirmed its resolve to create inclusive spaces for dialogue, research, and intellectual exchange. We sincerely thank the speaker, chairperson, guests, participants, volunteers, and everyone whose support made the celebration memorable and successful.

Glimpses from the MEA Distinguished Special Lecture on “India’s Maritime History and Strategy”, delivered by Ambassador Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, IFS (Retd.), on 1 July 2026 at Vivekananda Hall, Jadavpur University.

Organised by the Jadavpur Association of International Relations (JAIR), JUIR, SIRSS, and the Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the lecture offered valuable insights into India’s rich maritime heritage, evolving strategic priorities and growing role in the Indo-Pacific region. We extend our sincere gratitude to Ambassador Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, the collaborating institutions, distinguished guests, faculty members, researchers and students whose presence and active participation made the lecture an engaging and memorable academic experience.
